There’s a viral video making its way around Twitter this weekend that shows NFL star QB Can Newtown offering a man $1500 for his seat that has more legroom with the unidentified man turning down the generous offer. Have a watch:

This was a 10 hr flight. I can’t imagine sitting on a plane for 10 hours. My limit is 3.5- 4 hr. Here to Denver, that’s it. If I had to endure 10 hrs I’d want the most room possible.

Full disclosure: I once was “upgraded” to 1st Class (I was in Army Class A uniform.) in 1969 & was seated next to a young/very tall Black man, who introduced himself too me as “Lew”.
(He seemed like “a nice guy” & about my own age.)
When the plane landed in Atlanta, he wished my “Good Luck overseas” & said “Goodbye”. - In the terminal, he was surrounded by photographers. I wondered who he was & was told, “Lew Alcindor”.
(I had no idea who that was, as I intensely dislike BB.)

Cam Newton is racist for not offering $10,000. OK, not really but it’s the same logic.
i would have taken that money and stood at the bathroom for 1,500. guess he didn’t need it like i do.
If it was me and the black guy was harassing me for my seat, I’d tell him to go try the back of the plane, and get out of my face. Some black people have big chips on their shoulders, and no manners.
If I knew who Cam Newton was and how wealthy he was I would have held out for at least 5K...how bad did he want that legroom?
