Loophole in law granting illegal immigrants driver’s licenses could lead to voter fraud

A loophole in the new law granting driver’s licenses to illegal immigrants could allow hundreds of thousands of people to fraudulently register to vote in New York, according to critics, the state Board of Elections and the bill’s own sponsor.

The Green Light Bill, which passed the Senate 33-29 Monday and was signed by Gov. Andrew Cuomo, allows illegal immigrants to obtain “standard” state driver’s licenses that can be used for identification and to board domestic flights.

But it is also the sole document required to register to vote, according to officials.

Even legislative sponsor Luis Sepúlveda (D-Bronx) admitted the provision could be abused.

“Theoretically, they could have the ability to vote,” he said while arguing for the bill during a Monday hearing in Albany.

Voters need only provide a driver’s license number to register to vote, according to BOE spokesman John Conklin.

“If you have a driver’s license number, you basically stop there,” Conklin told The Post Tuesday of the vetting process.

A little known fact to many, the infamous Motor Voter Act of 1993

(From Wikipedia: "...The law advances voting rights in the United States by requiring state governments to offer voter registration opportunities to any eligible person who applies for or renews a driver's license or applies for public assistance...") which was signed by Bill Clinton, was pushed for and advocated by two dedicated Alinskyites (as was Clinton): Francis Fox Piven and Richard Cloward (of Cloward-Piven fame) both of whom actually attended the signing ceremony.

To people outside that sphere, those two people are most notably known for The Cloward-Piven Strategy.

This strategy, created by Profs. Richard A. Cloward and Frances Fox Piven, it is essentially a plan that envisions overwhelming the U.S. public welfare system and replacing it with a nationalized system run completely by the federal government, that would ensure "a guaranteed annual income and thus an end to poverty." nThe strategy, then, was to essentially create enough chaos that the social welfare system would collapse under its own weight, thereby creating an opportunity for the central government to impose a "solution" that essentially transformed Uncle Sam into national paymaster.

Notice the words above in red. That is no accident. They probably have absolutely no valid check for citizenship. If you apply for welfare (as many do, using stolen SSN etc.) then you can likely vote.

I think the Dems (the ones with any brains at all anyway) know that Trump will be re-elected in 2020. They are just trying to set up the popular vote argument/narrative (again).

I don’t understand why New York needs more voter fraud in favor of the democrats.

When they run out of Republicans to cheat, they turn on other Democrats. There are vicious factional disputes within the Democrat party that become visible when they don't have Republicans to kick around any more.

Of course the cheating must in favor of the candidate approved by the local Democrat party leaders.

This is not about drivers licenses at all - it is about allowing the illegals to vote in NYS.

They are planning this for 2020 - not some “future” time - and the RNC had better have a plan to combat this and have be ready to disqualify illegal alien votes!

President Trump must deport the illegals so American citizens are not disenfranchised by the illegal voting demographic in blue states.

They----and local election officials----could be prosecuted for voter fraud if deported illegals are found to have voted.

You are assuming that the name given to DMV and the name given to ICE are the same and that it IS the true name of the deportee.

How does drivers license impact the census?. We either ask how many people live here, or how many citizens live here. Drivers license doesn’t change the answer to either of these, and it doesn’t change whether the response is truthful or not.
