In HS my buddy and I played Rummy, Navy it was Cribbage, when I worked the oilfield it was Boureit (spelling?), work in Ohio was Sheepshead.
I’ve played spades and hearts on the computer but didn’t care for them as much. Sheepshead was hell’a fun with a big group.
Never played bridge though.

Finally Boureit(?) rears it’s head. Never played it but a lot of the guys working for me did on lunch time.

“Don’t even get me started on people who don’t know how to play Mille-Bornes.”
Play it?
Never even heard of it.
Looked it up. French. Probably boring.
“Bunch of neo-Luddites!”
Hey!
I resemble that remark!

Well, bridge can be a great game is you're really into older women ...
... you'd be surprised at what is going on under the table when you're the only guy in the bridge club ...

Nice site , codex99, that covers the history of Mille Bornes.
Mille Bornes
A friend of mine took French in Junior High. His French teacher said the class should play the game at home. It was a fun game, alliances would be forged and broken in a game. Good times.

That is one sweet Camaro.........As for the "COPO", I've never heard of one before. It was also cool that he mentioned racing on Woodward Ave as a kid, those were definitely the days.
And it's appropriate that Woodward is home to the annual "Woodward Dream Cruise", the world's largest classic car show. 10 miles of cruising classics......

No idea how to play bridge. Tried to read a book on it and gave up.
To: Sam Gamgee
I think bridge is what women play
to give their minds something to do
while they’re talking.

I think bridge is one case where it is easier to learn by just jumping in and trying to play rather than reading a book. The books are more for players that already know the basics and want to learn advanced strategies. It’s like the chess of card games.

I might, if I am brave, tell that joke to my wife.
