The Vatican issued an official document Monday rejecting the idea that people can choose or change their genders and insisting on the sexual "complementarity" of men and women to make babies. The text, "Male and Female He Created Them," was intended to help Catholics address what the Vatican's Congregation for Catholic Education called an "educational crisis" in the field of sex education.
It called for a "path of dialogue" and listening on the issue of "gender theory" in education. The document, published during LGBTQ Pride Month, was immediately denounced as contributing to bigotry and violence against gay and transgender people. Advocacy group New Ways Ministry said it would further confuse individuals questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation and at risk of self-harm.

It will impact Western Europe, United States and Canada. It will cause some discussion about the harm of Gender Change.
Broken Pope clock.
Flip flop in 3...2...1
The Vatican is starting to act like Catholics, for now.
XX XY
Was this put out without pops Francine seeing it?
Pretty simple stuff when quit playing liberal games.
Francis DeBernardo, head of New Ways Ministry, said such concepts are outdated, misinformed and ignore contemporary science on factors beyond visible genitalia that determine gender.
"Gender is also biologically determined by genetics, hormones and brain chemistry - things not visible at birth," DeBernardo said in a statement. "People do not choose their gender, as the Vatican claims, they discover it through their lived experiences."
He said the Catholic Church should encourage this process of discovery, saying it's "a process by which individuals discover the wonderful way that God has created them."
The worst lies are the ones that are closest to the truth but then veer off into paths of ineffectuality. Is it okay to say that God has designed a myriad of variations within the broad categories of male and female, and that all can be safely discovered in the course of service and be put to virtuous use? Yes. Is this tantamount to saying that we should be trying to discover it ab initio? Heaven forbid -- this was the Garden of Eden folly and sin.
“Now that I have your attention, here’s what I really meant to say ...”
It’s about time.
And yeah, I know he says “the Catholic church” but it’s very doggedly a pan-Christian matter.
Oh, how dare they? Sarc
yep
Yep.
Not sure how Jorge let this one slip by.
It doesnt say anything about encountering and accompanying the other.
I didn't even know it was a thing.
Bergoglio must be furious. This document, produced by the Congregation for Catholic Education, was not announced in advance and did not have the usual press conference. So Bergoglio didnt really know about it until just a couple of days ago. His response? To announce yesterday that he was appointing the notoriously gay-friendly and probably gay Cardinal Joseph Tobin (Nitey Nite Baby) to this Congregation. Just to make sure nothing orthodox ever happens again.
The laity, Christendom-wide, should focus all the more on the leading of the Holy Spirit.
When earthly denominational organizations fail, God is not caught short.
Thanks for posting. I haven’t figured out yet if the American Association of Psychiatrics is not very upset about the entire transgender fraud, or if most writings from the Association aren’t being covered by media.
I’ve read that they think letting victims of Gender Dysphoria mutilate their bodies is horrible and can’t change their sex.
The President recently made a strong statement also.
But the Association should be operating a major information campaign. Tens of millions (or more?) have a completely twisted idea about “transgender” and don’t even know that Gender Dysphoria is a named, documented and treatable mental disease.
