During the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah War, my family and I visited our friends in Kfar Vradim, a small village in northern Israel within close proximity to Lebanon where Hezbollah was situated. Throughout our visit, sirens routinely went off when a conflict broke out near the town. The alarms indicated that we needed to enter the bomb shelter.

Classic false logic. The people do not die *from* guns. Two thirds of them are suicides, which can easily find other ways to kill themselves.
The other third is almost entirely homicides. Most of which would be unaffected by any of the proposed laws or regulations.
Emotional claptrap, based on *feelings*.
Those who want us disarmed make the false argument: If there were no guns, there would be no gun deaths.
The idea you can eliminate guns is false.
The idea that trying to eliminate guns will reduce suicides or homicides is false.
They simply, emotionally, hate the idea of guns, and want them to go away.
It is pure emotional groupthink.
