The Jury in the Gibson’s Bakery v. Oberlin College case has reached a verdict.
According to our reporter in the Courtroom, the jury awarded $11 million. Here are the details: Allyn W. Gibson awarded $5.8 million, David Gibson #3 million, Gibson Bros. $2,274,500. Next Tuesday there will be a separate punitive damages which could be a double award (meaning tripling the $11 million to $33 million).
According to Dan, Meredith Raimondo was held liable on the libel but not the other counts. We are still sorting out what that means in terms of damages against her.

Oberlin College halted purchases from Gibson’s Bakery targeted by #BlackLivesMatter, but may reconsider
Gibson’s sued the college and its Dean of Students, Meredith Raimondo, for defamation and multiple other claims. Oberlin moved to dismiss some of the claims, for trespass on a parking lot and for the negligent hiring, retention, or supervision of Raimondo.
Seem to have gotten their ass handed to them anyway.
Or maybe I should say the jury handed their ass to Gibson's Bakery!
The idiots who perpetuated this don’t care. They just peel a few mill of Oberlin’s fat endowment, and the SJWs who work there still pull out their $200,000+ salaries and fat benefits.

Trump's fault! His election triggered the shoplifting that caused the melee of several blacks that caused the college students to boycott that caused the college admins to libel the bakery, etc. Blacks should be allowed to do illegal stuff while driving the innocent bakery out of existence! But jury ruled otherwise!
I admit I didn’t expect it. Nice to see the likes of Oberlin take a well-deserved rap on the knuckles. The sad truth is that they can afford this and simply be a little more careful next time.
