FULL TITLE: Minnesota cop gets 12 years in prison for shooting dead innocent Australian yoga instructor who called 911 about a disturbance outside her home
A former Minneapolis police officer was sentenced to more than 12 years in prison this morning for the fatal shooting of an unarmed Australian-American yoga teacher after she had called police to report a possible sexual assault.
Mohamed Noor, 33, was convicted on April 30 of third-degree murder and second-degree manslaughter for the 2017 killing 40-year-old Justine Ruszczyk Damond outside her home near Minneapolis.
Noor was acquitted of a more serious charge of second-degree intentional murder.
Although Noor's lawyers had requested that his sentence be no longer than a year and a day in prison, Minnesota District Judge Kathryn Quaintance imposed a sentence that was in line with what prosecutors had requested.

“Lockup for a week during what would have been her birthday and then again during the yearly anniversary of the shooting”.

I get that we are all suspicious because he is an
islamo-fascist - and I am fully in favor of making the practice of islam in the US illegal - but maybe he just - should not have been a cop and demonstrated it in the worst way possible.
Yeah she was outside and her head was not properly covered for modesty. She deserved killing. In a Muslim country he would have received awards.

Even though I live in neighboring state WI, I have not been to MN for 16 years. No plans to ever drive through again (on trips to Mt. Rushmore, etc).
I was concerned the ice Blue state of MN would let him go.
12 years is not enough. But I will take that over typical Liberal refusal to punish criminals
