Mexican Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said Monday that his country would reject a proposed solution to the immigration and tariff stand-off with the U.S. that would involve it keeping Central American asylum seekers.
The proposal, which has not been formally made by the U.S., would involve Mexico being designated a "safe third country" for the immigrants, meaning that refugees passing through Mexico to the U.S. would first have to claim asylum in Mexico. The U.S. has a similar agreement with Canada.
"An agreement about a safe third country would not be acceptable for Mexico, Ebrard told reporters shortly before a meeting in Washington, D.C., with U.S. officials. They have not yet proposed it to me. But it would not be acceptable and they know it.
Hell, Mexico,
1) let them ask asylum in Mexico
2) tell them hell no
3) ship them out down south (after first confiscating their money for expenses)
4) watch the invaders from down south slow to a trickle.

We should NOT propose crap like that. The absolutely ONLY thing for us to worry about is that they not come here. What Mexico does or does not do with them isn’t our problem. Bogging down in that crap make the migrants OUR problem. They are not our problem until they cross the Rio Grande.
Close the border!
I thought we were going to have bad-ass negotiators. This is childish. When Mexico asks what they are supposed to do with them, we should not even dignify the question with an answer.
Redirect them right back to the concept that we don’t give a flying fornication what they do with them as long as they don’t cross the Rio Grande.
Discuss nothing but THAT. And don’t even “discuss” that. The entire discussion should be 5% on June the 10th and make sure they understand.
Well, if you don’t want them in your country, why are you allowing them to cross the border into it??
Yep, and not just a few miles across the border, either. Ship them deeeeep into Meheeco and dump them in a rural area just north of a town so they’ll need to walk southbound to reach the only civilization in sight. Get them used to heading southward.
Lock down the Border ...NOW!
Mexican American War II.
Mexican American War II.
Fine with me. I don’t want Mexico to keep them either.
They should close their tiny southern border and keep them out in the first place. They can do it easily; They already have the laws to do it, and they don’t have 0bama (and bush and clinton) activist judges to to throw an injunction at every little thing intended to control the invasion.
This thread proves the wisdom of the quote, “I would rather be governed by the first two thousand people in the Boston telephone directory than by the two thousand people on the faculty of Harvard University”.
William F. Buckley.
Your first version more accurately expresses what Mexico is doing to the U.S. That its president named a son after Che is no coincidence.
Recommend Trump step up as our president and not be hamstrung by Domestic Enemies such as any Obama judges.
That will be fought on both sides of the border and every non-MAGA type will join in. Food supplies will be short along with tempers, just imagine your favorite grocery store with bare shelves. Better sooner than later, says this senior type who spends a lot of time at the range.
With Mexico being a “safe third
country”, we would be able to
return or deport any illegal
border crosser, regardless of
their country of origin.
Beat the bastard, zip him into a body bag, and dump him in the RIo Grande. Naturally, I mean that in the nicest possible way.
That solves the problem right there...The so-called American companies in Mexico would have to scream bloody murder to the Mexican government unless they immediately pulled up stakes and came back to America....
It’s what they are doing....pissing all over us.
Mexico doesn't accept them but we do and then expect Mexico to solve our problem. I'm not saying Mexico is innocent, I'm saying we are the crazy ones.
