Noonan, a former speech writer for President Reagan, said impeachment would only divide the country even more and ultimately result in it faltering in the Republican-controlled Senate.
“Congressional censure would be a formal registering not of Congress’s political disapproval but its moral disapproval,” she wrote in the column that appeared in the Wall Street Journal and The Post, recalling how Sen. Joe McCarthy was censured in 1954.
“Republicans, who control the Senate, wouldn’t vote to remove the president, but to morally disapprove of him? They would,” she continued. “There’s plenty of suppressed resentment there at how he’s mortified them and lowered things.”

One thing about Trump, he has really shown me who really is conservative and those that are more interested in their little groups like Kristol.
All I had to read is the headline. Noonan is no conservative.

Otherwise, what has she ever done to convince anyone she was a conservative? She loved the clintons, both of them. It seems like she thought obama worthy, although for me, that's a feeling more than based on her columns.
To call Peggy Noonan a conservative is less apt that calling George Will a conservative. At least Will was once. When he shilled for Hillary he created an obstacle for himself that probably can't be breached.
At least Will shilled for hillary because he was a never-Trumper. Noonan said out loud in a column regarding the clintons that she loved these two. That makes Noonan and conservative oxymoronic in the same sentence.
