Mitt Romney warns of harmful consequences for American consumers if Trump imposes tariffs on Mexico

Sen. Mitt Romney warned Friday that President Donald Trump’s proposed tariffs against Mexico were the wrong approach and could harm Americans more than they help curtail illegal immigration.

“A tariff targeting Mexico that negatively impacts our own interests will only end in a waiting game of increasingly harmful consequence to the American people,” Romney said.

I previously was employed by a very large US based corporation who built a production facility in Mexico. HA HA! The fine products made there by those wonderful Messican’t employees was so deficient that it had to be sent back to the corporation’s American manufacturing facilities to be REWORKED by American workers before the products could be sold. And management kept telling the US employees that this lower cost of production was contributing to the company’s profit margin.

If the brokers/ manufacturers could simply raise prices 5% to pay the Tariff, what is stopping them from raising the prices NOW for increasing profit? (I say that because that's where it's paid, not at retail)

It's a myth that ALL cost increases are automatically passed on to the consumer...Sometimes it just isn't possible and costs are absorbed in the business.

Got your tongue tied, huh, Mitt?  The trip to Japan was picture perfect.  And the event was to honor the Trumps and give them special recognition -- and the Japanese people cheered this visit.

You know right well, Mitt, that if you were President, you would never be invited to such an event.  You would lack the "diplomatic skills" to pull it off, because you're nothing but a phony, Mitt. Trump can mix it up.  He and Melania can play diplomats better than any First Family we've ever seen, and then come back and sling mud at the President of Mexico and the stupid Dems.  Oh, and in between, he presided over the graduation of almost 1,000 cadets at the Air Force Academy and shook every cadet's hand.

Trump is a real class act, Mitt.  You can't even give a dog a decent place to be comfortable in a car ride across country.

Trump is President because he's a winner.  You, Mitt, are one of the world's biggest losers.  And you're a liar to the very depth of your soul.  You're also a disgrace to the Mormons.
