Actually the Obama administration was flouting norms by obstructing the policy of an incoming President instead of helping with the transition.
The more I read about all this and the Flynn transcripts released earlier today, the more it pisses me off. This piecemeal crap needs to stop. The msm and the dems have been calling the POTUS a traitor and a Russian asset for over two years. If they believe this, that supersedes any concerns about sources or methods. That would be the least of our concerns if Russia actually had control of the POTUS, there is nothing that would be more important then exposing that. That tells me the entire executive branch that should be under Trump is not answering to Trump, including barr. So ether the POTUS is a Russian asset, or an un-elected, unethical bureaucracy has complete control of the US government (executive, legislative and judicial). That justifies the release of everything.
Barr better corral these guys

Any national security advisor to a president, during his transition into office, is going to be speaking with foreign people... even Russian ambassadors.

Seems to me that Obama’s farcical “Office of the President-elect’ would stand up to the same level of skepticism. I bet if you investigated Obama’s transition team even slightly you’d find egregious examples of undercutting existing US policies.
Flynn would have been well within his rights to signal that President Trump would be reviewing Obama’s sanctions against Russia. As long as no concrete deals were struck.
