Mueller throws long-time pal, colleague Bill Barr under the bus in order to protect the Deep State

The real bombshell takeaway from former special counsel Robert Mueller’s self-serving press conference on Wednesday is that he just threw Attorney General William Barr, a long-time Justice Department colleague and friend, under the bus by insinuating he lied regarding POTUS Donald Trump’s “guilt” in Russian collusion hoax.

And in doing so, Mueller chose his loyalty to the deep state over he loyalty to a lifelong friend. That’s how serious this “battle royale” between all the president’s men and the Deep State really is.

First, for context, a little history.

As noted by The Atlantic, both Barr and Mueller served together at the Justice Department in the early 1990s in the administration of President George H. W. Bush (himself a former CIA director). Not only that, but as Barr told senators during his confirmation hearing in January, “the two men have had a relationship for years” — on personal, social, and family levels...

Oh my.

If my old heart wasn't racing enough after my walk this morning in the Florida heat, it is now after seeing that photo of Marilyn.

I feel a twitchin' in my britches. :-)

Thanks.

Me thinks Mueller is scrambling for safety and hoping to discredit Barr so he himself doesn’t end up with indictments...

mueller knows the doj has the goods and was told end this with the correct conclusion legally or be persecuted for treason, so he ends it, no legal consequence, now the anarchist want the house and senate to be the judiciary, and if allowed to do so will end this great nation..they have calculated for maximum confusion, the path of lies...all thats left short of promoting an insurrection, which a few jussies will do the trick..

Mueller has set Barr up to prove a negative, just as he did Trump. Deep state must have some really good stuff on Mueller.

How so? to do so vehemently would not only be out of character for him but may tip his hand as far as some of the spoons he has in the pot.

Mueller is saying Trump was guilty of obstruction and can’t prove him innocent. It was a ridiculous, insane statement.

You know the score, but I'm slightly surprised you're still exhibiting some emotional reaction. As central_va observed, yesterday was Ft Sumter. Mueller made his choice, and the decision allowed those who are aware to note the deep state has chosen civil war. There's no going back, and there isn't any remaining political middle ground. You either believe Trump was framed, or you believe he would be in chains if not for being president.

Trump either initiates an offensive position and begins to prosecute the war effectively, or he doesn't and the country is surrendered to the globalists. The emergence of the 4th branch of government (DOJ, DOS, CIA) separate and independent from executive oversight & control, which was first asserted at the inauguration, will be cemented into place.

I don't see any reason to continue to complain, criticize or otherwise engage in useless "talk". Sure, it may soothe the nerves, but "the past is gone hoss".

Mueller has a lot of skeletons

I agree. In fact, those are the ones that we suspect. New ones that we never heard of may be discovered. What other reason would there be to throw a long time friend under the bus and to refuse to be put under oath before Congress?

To be honest, you're acting a bit butt hurt. You're absolutely correct in your assessment(s), but your tendency to repeat the obvious points reveals your continuing emotional attachment.

That is, you seem to be exhibiting the behavior of one of the rubes who has finally awakened and wants to warn others. Too late pal; I was posting 10 years ago that FR was nothing more than conservative porn.

See my comment above. It is what it is; either Trump/we do something, or we don't. The Union could have folded and let the south secede. The Allies could have allowed Germany to seize Poland. History turned out otherwise.

There's really not much more to discuss.

You are both correct. The ball is in Nanzi's court. She is failing apart and will have a stroke but......

... she needs to decide the fate of the USA. Impeachment = violence and perhaps even war. It's her call, war or peace.

For sure!

We are gonna see these Liberals hysterically jumping through their own a*&holes and scrambling-around. It’s all getting TOO hot for them and it’s a hell of their own making. They’ll all walk (crawl) away covered with sh*t and smelling to high heaven.

They gambled that Trump would back down (how stupid can you get?) and never allow disclosure of the documents, so they rolled the dice, sure it would never happen! NOW-here’s Mueller showing his a#@ (yet again) in another and more frantic attempt to disassociate himself from what he did and disassociate himself from the Liberal F*&fs who are paying him.

These people are TRUE unprincipled and disgraceful slime!

You are absolutely correct. I am “butt hurt”. I am watching the country I grew up in, the country I swore an Oath to protect, 4 years of my life deployed in uniform die a preventable and unnatural death. The country my grandchildren live in. More of us should be “butt hurt” IMHO.

Deep State Clinton investigation: “We have conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, but we don’t believe she intended to.”

Deep State Trump investigation: “We can’t find any conclusive evidence of wrongdoing, but we’re certain he intended to.”
+++++
Liz:

Exactly. And the second of these statements seems more significant to me. It’s the “intended to” part.

Freepers should dig out their well worn (digitally speaking) copy of Part 2 of the Mueller Report. Take a look at the supposed obstructive actions taken by Trump that Mueller and every Democrat believe are sufficient cause to justify his impeachment and removal from office.

If you do so, here is very brief summary of what you will find:

1. He fired Comey.

2. Several times Trump considered the firing of Mueller but was presumably argued out of that position by wiser heads.

3. He asked Sessions to un-recuse himself but Sessions refused.

4. He had the absolute gall to say bad things about the Mueller investigation. And in public no less.

There may be a bit more but you will not see anything even resembling obstruction. If considering steps that could be taken to rope Mueller in but were never acted on was criminal we could all be in jail.

Freepers need to push the button on this. As long as the Dem-MSM cabal can get away with a general charge of obstruction without explaining what Trump supposedly did they will do so. We need to counter that. We need to press them for details and proof of specific criminal behavior by Trump. They won’t find it.

The problem I have with your continued repetition of your MLH claim, aside from that very repetition, is that you write with certainty when you don't know anything more than the rest of us.

There is only one item left to drop before we know for sure if the coup plotters will be held to account. It is the inspector general's report. If that is not all it has been rumored to be, then we know no one will be charged let alone indicted. It's a race against the impeachment clock at this point, but Barr, the OIG and Lindsey Graham's committee are moving at a snail's pace.
