In an interview over the Memorial Day weekend, former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova told a D.C. radio station that a battle royale is taking place within the Justice Department between Attorney General William Barr and FBI Director Christopher Wray, as well as other elements of the intelligence community.
At issue, said diGenova, are efforts by Barr and the Trump administration to restore accountable government to federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies who have long been free to operate virtually independently of any real congressional and Executive Branch oversight to the point where they have become excessively corrupt.
DiGenova, who is still a practicing attorney with a law firm in D.C., said that Barr has met resistance from Wray and others within the Justice Department as he has attempted, on instructions from POTUS Donald Trump, to get to the bottom of the Spygate scandal and coup attempt that originated in the Obama administration.

Last week he was sure the hammer was going to fall.
Now he’s hedging.
These guys get paid to talk.
Let’s just see what happens.
Who among We the People would be on the side of nonaccountable government agencies?
When will Liberals begin their ‘smear’ of HIM
I am weary of the innuendo, sources say, unsubstantiated opinion.
I crave for two things, facts and unbiased justice.
Battle royale is an apt term:
Battle royal (plural battles royal, also royale) traditionally refers to a fight involving many combatants that is fought until only one fighter remains standing, i.e. a death match.
I stand corrected.
I guess thinking there wouldn’t be FIERCE resistance was naive.
The first time I saw Wray testify before Congress, I concluded that he considered it his job to preserve the reputation of the FBI by covering up any past wrongdoing.

In the private sector, insubordination is cause for dismissal.
Perfect! That’s the ONLY way to handle this sedition.
Uhh, I think the Dims calling for him to be impeached was a clue.
Start firing people. Today.

“Who recommended this character?”
Yes, if there is one place where Trump has really f*cked up, it’s with his appointments. Besides Barr, Mnuchen, Pompeo and a few others, he’s picked a passel of feckless turds who actively oppose him and his policies (Tillerson, Mattis and Wray are top of my list). If the FBI’s “corruption” is isolated at the top, why not pick a rank and file FBI Agent and make him Director? And to make things worse, he rides way, way too long with them (can you say Jeff “The Little Southern-fried Pr!ck” Sessions as a shining example?).
I have no idea why Trump appointed this guy Wray?
Everyone can see the guy has a questionable agenda here.
I doubt very much he’s there to clean house.
He’s there to protect the FBI from further scrutiny.
I’ve had an uncomfortable feeling about him from day one.
I think he’s an anti-trumper...
Can someone explain why he was chosen?
Let’s see what charges we can come up with. Add what you see fit.
Obstruction of Justice
Sedition
Insubordination
Mal/Mis/Non-feasance
Violation of Oath of Office
