Former CIA Director John Brennan blasted President Donald Trumps decision to grant his attorney general unfettered access to sensitive intelligence material about agency sources in Russia as an outrageous move and an unprecedented act.
Appearing on MSNBCs All In with Chris Hayes, Brennan warned that delegating so much authority to the Attorney General Bill Barr as part of the Justice Departments investigation into the investigators of Trumps 2016 campaign appeared to prioritize political expediency over national security. Brennan, a longtime, vocal critic of Trumps, notably had his security clearance revoked by Trump last summer in a move broadly seen as payback by the president.
Is [Barr] just going to be looking for information that
Mr. Trump can just give to some of his defenders on the right and cherry-pick information that could be taken out of context? Barr asked. More fundamentally, the concern is that very, very precious and sensitive sources and methods of the United States intelligence community as well as our papers and allies abroad. Those who share this sensitive information with us, is Mr. Barr, who doesnt have the understanding, is he going to release information that he deems appropriate for Mr. Trumps defense? This is very serious and know that my former colleagues in the intelligence agencies are looking upon this with great concern and worry.

Of course he did, he is likely one of the most guilty in the seditious plot against Trump.
They’re coming for you, Johnny Jihad! How do you look in STRIPES?
Is [Barr] just going to be looking for information that Mr. Trump can just give to some of his defenders on the right and cherry-pick information...”
That snake knows all about that strategy.
No, Trump has been exonerated. This is setting the backdrop to prosecute ringleaders of the attempted coup.
There are a host of countries that don't have extradition treaties with the US. He should look into them.
Brennan has no credibility. And the revocation of his security clearance was not broadly perceived a payback, it was perceived as an overdue action to protect the security of our classified information.
Brennan should always be referred to as "Disgraced ex-CIA Director"!
Outrageous, unprecedented...the arrogance of traitors.
Did he then face east and bow?
This whole cherry picking information is a canard. In an investigation this sensitive, everything the intelligence agencies did or presented better have been above board, authorized, legal and legitimate. Any deficiency would show malfeasance and possible abuse of power. They better have crossed every t and dotted every I. But we already know they didnt and that is why they are laying the groundwork for any bad news to be labeled out of context.
He probably already has flight ✈️ reservations. Trump should invalidate the passport of every POS involved in the plot. I wonder how that would grab em?
Get a short rope.
But it was okay for Clapper, Brennan and Comey to meet....with the full knowledge of Obama.
Pro 25:5 - remove wicked officials from the kings presence, and his throne will be established through righteousness.
Erase Everything Obama from History.
Is [Barr] just going to be looking for information that Mr. Trump can just give to some of his defenders on the right and cherry-pick information that could be taken out of context?
Isn’t that EXACTLY what Mueller and his band of angry democrats do?
He left wants transparency. But not that transparency.
Brennan feels the hot breath of the Grand jury breathing down his neck.
He very likely set up the whole Steele Dossier fiasco with MI-6 to circumvent US law regulating CIA activity to be strictly outside the USA. He used sharing agreements between the USA, Britain and Australia to set the who sordid thing up.
Now The recently converted Muslim ex CIA director for the liberal fascist Obama, can fry in his own pig grease in public too! Pass the popcorn and pork rinds!
Well Mueller had “that much power” for over two years. What’s the difference?
I’d indict him Monday on obstruction, just on these comments...imagine if Trump said what he just said.
