Trump directed his attorney general to declassify documents in an effort to depict Donald Trump’s campaign as a victim of improper surveillance in 2016. Trump tweeted that the attorney general “requested” these powers. That may even be true. But Trump has been demanding such an investigation of U.S. intelligence agencies since long before Barr got the top law-enforcement job. Barr is compliant and complicit, but the idea is all Trump’s.
The declassification process will be selective, of course, in service to a predetermined narrative. ...
Who will trust or credit in any way the integrity of a Barr-led investigation? The intelligence agencies found evidence that alarmed them enough about the campaign’s Russia connections to justify a request for warrants. A federal court reviewed that evidence and authorized and reauthorized it. Will that evidence be declassified?

Declassification is now a "cover-up".
Never-Trumpers are now worried about a "pre-determined narrative".
And they still cling to THEIR narrative that warrants were obtained so Mueller / Russia was all legit !

They take the sworn word of the people submitting to it that their evidence has been reviewed and investigated

David Frum is dumb as a rock. It’s hard to believe you can make a living as a writer when you’re that stupid. When the declassification reveals that Comey and co. knowingly lied and omitted exculpatory evidence from their FISA applications, ‘selective’ declassification will be irrelevant. If the law is shown, unequivocally to have been broken, no addition declassification is going to make it suddenly un-broke.
I’m just speechless at the utter gall.
As if he is a member of the conspiracy to be outed.
Frum’s cover up is falling apart before our eyes - you know, the cover up of the fact that he is not and never has been a conservative or a patriot.

LOL. The lefties whine that Trump’s transparency is a very clever way to coverup Russian Collusion. In this version of bizarro world, the more transparent stuff gets, the more hidden it becomes. Unfortunately, I live on Earth and I don’t have a degree in bizarro world logic. So I have no idea what they are talking about.
Of course, had Trump had Trump said he would keep everything classified, the same folks would be whining that he was covering up by failing to declassify exactly the same documents.
The left is no longer tethered to anything real or uplifting. The are only concerned about accumulating power and money for themselves and their cronies. And whining is their MO.

the problem is,
1. WHAT did PDJT allegedly cover up? they never say of course
2. and lots of things he has either the obligation or at least the legal right to not give Congress, anyway
so far after 3 years and a hundred million dollars of investigation .. the D’s haven’t even found ANYTHING PDJT did wrong...not even a jaywalking citation!
