Things seem to be moving quickly now. It has been a remarkable few weeks in American history. Momentum is building toward uncovering the distasteful possibility that the targeting of a U.S. presidential campaign was actually a political operation, fostered at the highest levels of government, masquerading as an FBI counterintelligence investigation.
Attorney General William Barr has signaled that his interest in examining the origins of the investigation into the Trump campaign extends beyond whether the FBI operated by the book, as former FBI Director James Comey asserts. Barr also wants to understand the role that the larger intelligence community, or IC, may have played in all of this.
Barr has thrown punches that have left an interesting mix of characters with a standing eight count. Certain eyes around D.C. are a little glassy right now.
Barrs words and actions are telling. First, he raised the concern that the Trump campaign was spied upon. His use of the word spying appears more calculated than casual. The wailing and gnashing of teeth that followed is also telling. The FBI doesnt spy became the sputtering counter-refrain of those trying to mask their nervousness.
Its a fair point thats beside the point. The FBI is charged with acting under strict legal restrictions and court orders. Spying is not a term traditionally associated with those activities.
But it also misses the point Barr appears to be making. The IC does spy; thats what they do. Barr may have been referring less to the FBI and more to the ICs possible murky involvement.
This seems to be validated by Barrs second haymaker in as many weeks: his appointment of a surrogate investigator, U.S. Attorney John Durham. Why would the attorney general add a third investigation to those under way by Department of Justice Inspector General MichaeHorowitz...

Yes, and believe there were others. Haven’t heard anyone in GOP remind Dems of this. imho, lack of courage continues to run rampant in GOP.
But construction of 500 miles of wall is being done as we speak. Much of it is an "upgrade" like where right now there's just some flimsy barbwire ranch style fencing. It will have a deep footing and the wall structure. There's also up to 200 miles of new fencing included in that 500 miles. Once Trump is re-elected there will be more built.
It sucks this country is being represented in Congress by so many who hate this country and want to undermine it every way they can. I consider that treason and a hanging offense.
I agree to a point. But the least bit of corruption by a Republican is blackmail fodder for Rats and the media. How many times on this web-site have Republicans and Democrats been referred to as the Uniparty???? The primary difference, in my mind, between Republicans and Democrats in this regard is that Democrats have absolutely no morals or conscience, nor are most of them opposed to Scialism, which is evil. Arguing the degree of corruption for me is like arguing how pregnant a woman is. Once you have broken the corruption barrier, there is only one way forward - down.
Now THERE’s something they might think of... (You’re not one of THEM, are you? :-D )
Are these people being charged with crimes so they can be "arrested and thrown out of office"?
Your assertion that you view most of them as criminals is not much different than the democRATS claiming Trump is a racist and a liar and a threat to the country, so let's impeach him.
Opinions about their criminality won't get them arrested and thrown out of office. Facts will.
Possibly her health was somewhat stable after the lung cancer diagnosis. However, her condition could have worsened or she has given signals that she will have to step down. Whatever the case, you can bet that this is a driving force behind the DEMS big push.
Not accusing them of a specific crime. I guess I should have used the words “deserve to be arrested and thrown out of office”. The accusation was used in a rhetorical sense.
CIA Director under President Obama, John Brennan
Barack Obamas CIA chief, John Brennan, told the Annual Legislative Conference of the Congressional Black Caucus, on 15 September 2016, in Washington DC, that when he had applied in 1980 to join the CIA, he admitted to them that in the 1976 Presidential election, when Jimmy Carter was running against Gerald Ford, Brennan had voted instead for the candidate of the U.S. Communist Party, Gus Hall, and that he was then greatly relieved to find that this information didnt cause rejection of his CIA-application.
This had happened 11 years before the 1991 end of the Cold War...

It’s not Dems vs Reps, it is DC. DC and its bureaucracies _are_ a lawless institution pretending to govern USA under the authority of USConstitution, but then operating completely outside of it.
DC is in no manner limited to the authority that We-The-People granted it. Politics do not decide what authority DC gets, DC’s charter decides that. That charter is USConstitution, within the context of the Declaration of Independence.
Those people and _parties_ claiming that treason and high crimes can exist under the guise of politics must be destroyed. They are enemies of USA and are high criminals and traitors.
Socialism is not allowed in the charter, so the charter must be amended to even consider socialist government law or operation.
Spying on every single electronic activity and datum is not allowed in the charter, so the charter must be emended for any such behavior to exist.
Defend USConstitution, or you are an enemy of USConstitution, USA law and We-The-People.
I’m not blaming POTUS. Congressdevils will do everything in their power to hobble, thwart, and resist him. The invaders are their voters. It could not be more clear, what is occurring and why.
Congress could remedy things in a day or two, but as I heard once in a Clint Eastwood flick, “They don’t WANT the job done.”
*BKMK*
Thanks for clearing up that difference.
For starters, there’s Schiff who has been caught red-handed leaking classified info.
Yes, but don’t tell that to some.
They think the President just walks in and makes everything happen.
Regardless of judges who shut things down.
I didn't think so.
[Reminds me of Huber in Utah and his 30,000 sealed indictments.]
they would argue that a POTUS under impeachment should not be allowed to seat a SC justice.
The POTUS doesn’t seat does he?
He just nominates, the Senate seats with it’s approval?
He doesn’t stop being President until he’s removed
He still can and will do his Constitutional duties
Good insight.
Huber , like Durham, was only tasked to report back to then AG Sessions and not empanel grand juries or seek indictments.
Those are the facts easily proven by the documents signed by Sessions in regards to Huber. With AG Barr he used the word “review” and nothing else.
