From reparations to "baby bonds," Democratic candidates are proposing big ideas to confront inequality.
If you’ve been to an event with a Democrat running for president this year, there's a good chance you’ve heard about it: the racial wealth gap.
Candidates are regularly bringing up the fact that the typical black family has only one-tenth the assets of the typical white family — a divide that has grown larger than it was 35 years ago.
Far from a niche concern, candidates have incorporated it into their signature proposals. They've addressed it in speeches not just to black churches in South Carolina, but also to mostly white town hall crowds in Iowa and New Hampshire.
In many ways, it's a defining issue of the 2020 cycle so far, one that brings together multiple trends that are transforming the party: the rising clout of nonwhite voters, a rush to embrace more ambitious policy, and heightened concerns about both racism and inequality under President Donald Trump.

The reason for the sudden emphasis on giving free shit to blacks is that the Democrats are scared to death that are in the process of losing the black vote next year. The Trump economy is benefiting everyone but especially blacks and Hispanics, two very large and necessary voting blocks so this is a very overt attempt to “buy” the black vote. It will be interesting to see how this turns out.
We miss President Reagan but we must get more support going to help and preserve the Trump presidency. Too many Dem vultures hoping to feed on him and then us--in that order.
Long ago Dems "helped" feminists with school sports. There was supposed inequality there so they lowered the funding available to males to be down with females. Problem solved.
Taxing whites who work or invest can lower their wealth far enough to equal the blacks and then the government can keep 90% and give back 10% as new entitlements to a cheering, applauding crowd of blacks hearing the Dem politician's announcement.

Another, is even with the same income, there is a huge difference in saving rates.
Another is average age of the head of house-hold.
In 2015, Blacks wage-earners made 70 cents on the dollar for every dollar made by white wage-earners. Today, they make 75 cents. That’s closing the gap 5 percent in 3 1/2 years.
Wow. That’s a pretty vicious, take-no-prisoners headline from NBC “news.”
I actually always thought the baby bond thing was a good idea. They had war bonds back in the day. Can you imagine every kids starting to get bonds from birth? It’d be a nice sum by the time they retire. Oh well lost opportunity.
The wealth gap results from primal laziness.
If democrats actually worked hard, the gap would be diminished
Get married, get a GED, get a job, get out of debt.
If Blacks would finish high school and get married before having babies, they’d be much better off.

Ministers Louis Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, Washington, D.C.’s Mayor Anthony Williams and others recently met to discuss plans to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the October 1995 Million Man March. While reading about the plans, I thought of an excellent topic for the event: how not to be poor.
Avoiding long-term poverty is not rocket science. First, graduate from high school. Second, get married before you have children, and stay married. Third, work at any kind of job, even one that starts out paying the minimum wage. And, finally, avoid engaging in criminal behavior.

In 1999, the Bureau of the Census reported that 33.1 percent of black children lived in poverty compared with 13.5 percent of white children. It turns out that race per se has little to do with the difference. Instead, it’s welfare and single parenthood. When black children are compared to white children living in identical circumstances, mainly in a two-parent household, both children will have the same probability of being poor.

The No. 1 problem among blacks is the effects stemming from a very weak family structure. Children from fatherless homes are likelier to drop out of high school, die by suicide, have behavioral disorders, join gangs, commit crimes and end up in prison. They are also likelier to live in poverty-stricken households.

At one time, almost all black families were poor, regardless of whether one or both parents were present. Today roughly 30 percent of blacks are poor. However, two-parent black families are rarely poor. Only 8 percent of black married-couple families live in poverty. Among black families in which both the husband and wife work full time, the poverty rate is under 5 percent. Poverty in black families headed by single women is 37 percent.
Whites already have 27 percent that are born to unwed mothers. Asians best everyone again with 13 percent.

The only way they will close that is by taking from those who have the wealth and giving it away to those who don’t produce it.
I think it is more of the “peacock” syndrome that they have.
Have to be seen in a certain type car wearing certain types of clothes, the more over the top and stupid they look, the better they think that they are.
People notice them, that is what is important.

Democrats caused the problem. When will people of color figure out what the dims have done to them, especially since LBJ.
They plan to take money from Whitey and give it to others so they can blame Whitey for their self-inflicted failures.
The industrious would find a need and fill it, creating Value, thereby creating Wealth.
while those less thrifty find a fool and his money are soon parted.
