Full Intro:
Where women call the shots The nations first majority-female legislature is currently meeting in Nevada. Carson City may never be the same.
She didnt plan to say it. Yvanna Cancela, a newly elected Democrat in the Nevada Senate, didnt want to sound crass. But when a Republican colleague defended a century-old law requiring doctors to ask women seeking abortions whether theyre married, Cancela couldnt help firing back.
A man is not asked his marital status before he gets a vasectomy, she countered and the packed hearing room fell silent.
Since Nevada seated the nations first majority-female state legislature in January, the male old guard has been shaken up by the perspectives of female lawmakers. Bills prioritizing womens health and safety have soared to the top of the agenda. Mounting reports of sexual harassment have led one male lawmaker to resign. And policy debates long dominated by men, including prison reform and gun safety, are yielding to female voices.
Cancela, 32, is part of the wave of women elected by both parties in November, many of them younger than 40. Today, women hold the majority with 23 seats in the Assembly and 10 in the Senate, or a combined 52 percent.

One aspect of a female-dominated political environment seems to be an obsession with put-downs, insults and so-called profundities that are usually the product of false premises, straw men and a desire to be repeated rather than understood.
Everything is a quest for a meme.
No surprise that the Compost is pushing an overtly sexist agenda.
Goes well with the racist agenda they already push.

Where women call the shots>>>>>>>>>>>>
That’s not a woman.
actually men are asked their marital status. At least 15 years ago they were. and their wives had to sign waivers.

Too much “Girl Power”.
Well, we’re nearing the end of the legislative session in NV. Once every two years currently.
And if they had their way, there would be no shooting either. :-)

I wonder if that’s even true. Also, it’s possible that the room fell silent because they were all stunned by her dishonest comparison of the two procedures.
You don’t want to bring in facts and truth. Things in Nevada are about to head south in a hurry.
Finally some admitting they view abortion as a birth control method. Pills, IUD's, condoms, vasectomies, tube tying are all available, but they prefer to go the "oops" route and kill the lazy mistakes.
They think themselves to be clever, they are not, they cannot muster an original thought without a committee.
Well, I got asked 35 years ago before my procedure. I was single at the time. And yeah, not really the same circumstance. So probably stunned into silence at the ignorance on display. But I did hear that roe v wade is the question asked about meth-eek-uns crossing the Rio Grande.
Hope you can remove them.
Democrats, much like ticks and other sucking parasites, they’re hard to dislodge once they get a good grip.
That's not what I've heard.
See # 16 this thread.
Its not true. My urologist wanted my wife to sign a disclaimer before my vasectomy. I said hell no. Its my body and she has no claims over any of its function. ;).
