AG Barr on FBI “Spygate” Explanations: “Inadequate” and “Don’t Hang Together”…
The Conservative Treehouse ^ | May 16, 2019 | Sundance

Posted on 05/17/2019 10:25:35 AM PDT by Jack Black

Fox News correspondent Bill Hemmer interviewed U.S. Attorney General Bill Barr in El Salvador during a visit to address the crisis on the U.S-Mexico border, MS-13, drug trafficking and human trafficking.

During the interview Bill Hemmer asked about AG Barr’s ongoing review of DOJ and FBI activity during the 2016 election.

BARR: “I’ve been trying to get answers to the questions and I’ve found that a lot of the answers have been inadequate and some of the explanations I’ve gotten don’t hang together, in a sense I have more questions today than when I first started.”

HEMMER: “What doesn’t hang together?”

BARR: “Some of the explanations of what occurred.”

HEMMER: “Why does that matter?”

BARR: “People have to find out what the government was doing during that period. If we’re worried about foreign influence, for the very same reason we should be worried about whether government officials abuse their power and put their thumb on the scale.”

The Full interview will broadcast Friday May 17th at 9:00am

How soon before the Dems/Media equate ‘hang’ with ‘noose’ to claim ‘racism’?

I began to think similarly, especially when Sessions recused and then became a 'do-nothing/do-litte' AG.

Sessions was the first Senator to endorse Trump -- when Trump became the front-runner -- in February 2016.

Was Sessions in the House in 1992?

How many Senate Democrats voted to confirm Sessions as AG?

I think another possibility was that Trump knew the Mueller Investigation had to play out. And even a Barr could not prevent the Mueller investigation from concluding.

At least Sessions was active on fighting MS-13.

Thankfully, we finally have an Attorney General who wants the truth. Jeff Sessions had always been a true patriot, so I have no idea what happened to him. He sure appeared to be part of the Deep State in the coup attempt. I sometimes wonder if someone from the CIA told him they had information about him and would completely destroy he and his family if he didn’t play by their rules. Remember what Chuck Schumer said: “Let me tell you. You take on the intelligence community ... they have six ways from Sunday at getting back at you.”

What’s really important to remember is that when Mueller was appointed to head the Special Counsel, there were some things we did not know yet. The Deep State players didn’t think we would ever uncover some of this information:
• That it was Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC that funded the Steele Dossier
• Christopher Steele’s political motivations
• The text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok
• The details of the George Papadopoulos set up
• The improper FISA court applications
• and much more, of course

None of this was known yet!

Thanks to people like Devin Nunes, a lot of information came out that gave solid evidence of the Deep State coup that was under way. If none of this information had come out, I don’t have any doubts that the Mueller report would have been a whole lot different in the end. I think the investigators understandably got cold feet, and that’s the only reason that they didn’t falsely claim there was collusion, which would have resulted in sure impeachment and probably conviction. Mueller’s job was to get Trump, and he knew it. His hands became tied when more and more information came out about what a sham the whole thing was. Mueller could have finished his report far earlier, but I knew he wouldn’t do it before the 2018 mid-term elections.

“He actually has normal human curiosity...”

That’s huge. Now if he has complete love and respect for the Constitution to go along with his curiosity, I think we’re going to be happy with the outcome.

There must be a few decent people at the top who are sickened and terrified knowing we came so close to losing our freedom. I hope he’s one of them.

Sessions behavior remains an unexplained mystery to this day.

To me, he had the appearance of someone who was very afraid.

Sessions is a beltway lifer. Strongly supporting POTUS meant losing all his lifetime friends. All of them. It’s easy to see why he cracked under the pressure.

Sessions was a deep state plant
I’ve been saying that since he joined Trumps campaign.
Anyone with a brain knew it.

Not a chance. Nobody thought Trump would win. The whole thing was a joke to the political class at the time Sessions got on board the Trump Train. My guess is Sessions thought that too and thought he could virtue signal his pet projects knowing that nothing would ever come of it.

There is no reason POTUS had to be investigated by Hillary’s lawyer. Had his own party supported him Trump could have fired Mueller and Rosenstein, easily. But the GOP didn’t want that. They wanted POTUS investigated by Hillary’s lawyer because that want to stop the MAGA agenda.

"spying is one thing... using the IRS to threaten people and everything they own because they dare to speak up (lois lerner and the TEA party)"

Yup. Lois Lerner, laughing her ass off while drawing $102,600 a year pension paid for by you.
It's just like Rush said, Obama didn't have to tell her what to do. These types dominate every facet of the government these days.

The problem at least as far as the Lois Lerners of FedGov go. There is never real enforcement of the Hatch Act. GOP administrations pretend to enforce it, Rat administrations encourage its violation.

For example - back to Lois Lerner!
Prior to the IRS she was at the FEC

“..
Lerner then joined the Federal Election Commission’s (FEC) general counsel’s office as an assistant general counsel in 1981. She spent twenty years at the FEC, being appointed Associate General Counsel for Enforcement (the head of the FEC’s Enforcement Division) in 1986. Lerner was acting general counsel for the FEC for the first six months of 2001.
.....”

She was a known problem here! Extremely partisan! In the past I read accounts how she tilted the playing for Rat notables like Dick Durbin. People would come in and complain about some fund-raising or something that was in violation of federal election finance law.(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Election_Commission)
She would quickly dismiss the complaint and on occasion turn the tables back on the one filing the complaint.

Any rational enforcement of the Hatch Act would have fired her long before she got to the IRS.

Then there is the whole problem of the IRS and unionization!
TEU - Treasury Employees Union a very leftwing government employees union.

If there are two places where it should be rock solid nonpartisan it should be the FEC & the IRS. But that’s not the case! Federal Employee Unions only exist due to JFK’s executive order. They could be undone that way! (Yes I know it would be challenged in Federal Court!)
