AOC Says She Was Joking About the World Ending in

RUSH: Yes, my friends, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has rebuffed all of the fact-checkers out there. She came out, as you might remember, and compared climate change to World War II. (summarized) “We only have 12 years to stop Hitler! We only have 12 years to stop the Nazis from taking over the world!” In this case, climate change is Hitler (aside from Trump), and the Nazis are all of the things that we are doing to destroy the planet. Twelove years. We had 12 years.

Well, the fact-checkers got in gear. (Not the liberal fact-checkers. The Drive-By Media dutifully reported it or dutifully was sympathetic to it.) So some people started fact-checking this and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was kind of caught short. She didn’t expect that. Cortez is used to saying things and having friendly media bow down and simply report it — but, more importantly, not challenge her. Well, this got her challenged because even people who believe full-fledged in man-made global warming don’t think it’s gonna happen that soon.

They think it’s gonna happen, but not 12 years. Many of them still think it’s gonna happen after they die. “Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez complained Sunday that GOP fact-checkers were taking her ‘dry humor’ literally. ‘This is a technique of the GOP, to take dry humor + sarcasm literally and “fact check” it,’ she tweeted. ‘Like the “world ending in 12 years” thing, you’d have to have the social intelligence of a sea sponge to think it’s literal. But the GOP is basically Dwight from The Office so who knows.’

“And when Ocasio-Cortez first made the claim, she certainly appeared to be playing up the absurdity of the statement for effect. But those responsible for the 2018 UN report on climate change — from which Ocasio-Cortez drew her ’12 years left’ conclusion — did not consider their work to be an attempt at ‘dry humor,'” and that’s where she got it! It’s our old buddies at the U.N. making this prediction. Now, I think Cortez has it exactly backwards. It’s not us that don’t get satire and parody. We do satire and parody. We own satire and parody here at the EIB Network.

Remember the entire city of Washington went on a three-year witch hunt based on a joke Donald Trump told. He was in Miami and he said, “Hey, Russia, maybe you could find the missing 30,000 Hillary emails. Hey, our media are the looking for them. If you can find them, I’m sure they’d love to have them.” That’s even in the Mueller report as an example of Trump perhaps obstructing justice. That’s in the Mueller report as something that Mueller said he considered when determining whether or not to say Trump colluded with Russia.

So don’t tell me about people that don’t get humor. Don’t talk to me about people that don’t understand dry humor and sarcasm. We get it, AOC. When things are funny, we get it. But you wouldn’t know funny if it bit you on your pretty little nose. This is the bottom line. These people are the ones that do not have a sense of humor. Look at all the late-night comedy shows that aren’t comedy anymore. Look at all the shows! Late-night comedy is hate applause lines.

“The tweet pinned to the top of Ocasio-Cortez’s Twitter profile … again cites the 12-year deadline along with a video showing how the world could progress if people would only heed such warnings and take them seriously,” and yet she claims that it was just dry humor and people don’t get it. She didn’t really mean it. Well, she did. She meant it to be taken seriously. She meant it to be received exactly as it was. But they be the question to ask is:

“Okay. If her little thing could be blown up this quickly, 12 years — we’ve only got 12 years — what about 20? Do we have 20 years? Do we have 25? Somebody could be 30. Do we have 30 years? At what point do we pass the point of no return?” They want you to think that we already have. The fact that this backfired is probably… One of the best things about this backfiring is that it indicates, as far as public opinion is concerned, that Cortez bombed big time in persuading people of the urgency and seriousness of this, which is always good to know.

While traveling from NYC to DC, AOC’s limosine had a flat tire. Somewhere in rural Virginia, the driver pulled off the road along the fences of a large EMU farm. AOC got out of the car, walked over and stood in the shade by the fence playing with her phone. The EMU farmer sauntered over to see if he could be of help and was excited when he recognized the freshman Congresswoman.

The Farmer asked if he could take a picture and AOC agreed and posed by the fence. Of course several EMU’s walked over to see what was happening and 6 or 7 photobombed Ms. Cortez.

The Farmer quickly ran up to his farmhouse and printed out a copy of the picture. Hurring back just as the limosine was being lowered off the jack, he asked AOC if she would sign the photo.

“Sure,” the Congresswoman replied. She stared at the picture for a moment before turning it over and inscribing: “Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, 3rd from Left.”

AOC is one Big Act. She’s quickly becoming a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat:
(A) acting to keep herself in office, and, (B) to gain wealth off of politics, both at the same time.

BACKSTORY: “Justice Democrats” and “Brand New Congress” are a group of Bernie Sanders ex-staffers who decided 2018 midterms
should be all about Bernie’s policies, finding 400 Bernie carbon copies to dump into races. They held auditions. AOC was hired to run in NY.

FAST FORWARD TO TODAY.......an FEC complaint was filed alleging AOC’s COS, Saikat Chakrabarti, created multiple
private companies—LLCs—to siphon off campaign contributions from her various PACs for personal use......

BTW, besides socialism (gag)....Bernie and AOC have a lot in common.
AOC’s COS used to be Bernie’s....wait for it.....”Director of Organizing Technology.”

AND THIS—Saikat Chakrabarti, is a proven tech expert.
(A) He co-founded a web design tool,
(B) He built up the product team at the payment processor “Stripe”.........
(C) He then came to the Sanders campaign after (cough) growing disillusioned with the tech world.

Saikat Chakrabarti was Bernie’s Director of Organizing Technology. Even old man Bernie knew enough to hire a tech expert.

So, I guess (smirk) Chakrabarti’s tech skills musta come in mighty handy when donations to Bernie were
wire-transferred to the DNC and ended up in 2016 candidate Hillary’s account.
Debbie W/S headed the DNC at the time and was ousted b/c of her bias for Hillary.

Course, none of us heard about any of this, but.....

Now the stunning details about that FEC complaint:

The FEC complaint asserts that AOC’s COS, Saikat Chakrabarti, early on established two PACs that raised big bucks for AOC’s campaign:
<><> the “Brand New Congress PAC,” and,
<><> the “Justice Democrats PAC.”

After mucho money was raised, Chakrabarti systematically transferred $885,000+ in PAC contributions to his private companies with similar names:
<><> the “Brand New Campaign LLC,” and,
<><> the “ Brand New Congress LLC.”

Saikat Chakrabarti’s private companies, unlike PACs, are exempt from reporting all of their significant expenditures.
NOTE WELL: it’s a much-used criminal act to enrich oneself, to open bank accounts using similarly named
entities to siphon off money, to hide it from partners, associates, investors etc.

SIPHONINGS A CINCH It’s easy to siphon off money for oneself by putting checks into the new accounts with similar names, depositing checks that were made out to
the original entity. Even your bank advises that if a check-writer “mis-spelled” your name, to just endorse the check with the correct name.

AND PRESTO: a check made out to Brand New Congress PAC, is deposited in the Brand New Congress LLC account.

ANALYSIS -— Chakrabarti’s companies appear to have been set up for the sole purpose of obscuring how AOC’s donations were used. The arrangement skirted reporting requirements and may have violated the $5,000 limit on contributions, according to the FEC complaint filed by the National Legal and Policy Center, a government watchdog group.

Campaign finance attorneys described the arrangement as “really weird” and an indication “there’s something amiss.” They said there was no way of telling where the political donations went — meaning (A) the donations could have been pocketed, or, (B) used by the LLC’s to pay for off-the-books campaign operations.-—SNIP-—SOURCED FROM FR.

JUST WONDERING .....does Chakrabarti have a reputation among Democraps for facilitating the conversion of campaign donations?
