Presidential candidate Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-N.Y., said that she does not support creating a federal firearm licensing system.
No, I think there is a better approach, Gillibrand told the Washington Examiner at a campaign stop in Warner, N.H., on Saturday, when asked about a plan proposed by primary rival Sen. Cory Booker, D-N.J.
To end gun violence, I would do three things, she said. I would, No. 1, pass universal background checks, which are commonsense and supported by 70% of America."

Tired of cleaning it.
Just got back from the range Thursday.
Id like to know who besides DJT is backing us up.
“Universal background checks” means private sales and/or transfers are illegal.
Backdoor registration.
To facilitate confiscation.
If ‘they’ succeed in taking your guns (weapons) away the next thing they will be after is cutting off your gun (tool) to cut down on rapes.
The same LIB logic as usual..
Seeing the final crescendo on the Civil War statues, relics, name etal removed one can look to 30 years forward and watch the rising AOC camp start demanding us to abandon anything to do with praising or honoring the Spanish American War, any and everything to do with Teddy Roosevelt will be verboten.
Then in another 30 years any and all recognition of the 1st & 2nd WWs will be taboo with all due recognition illegal.
Then in another 30 years, those that sport Vietnam gear will be deemed illegal and set upon as MAGA people are today.
One sure thing about the LIBs, the insanity lives on forever.
I would like to think that Oath Keepers have our six.
Dear American gun owner,
There is no such thing as a pro gun DemocRat.
Gillibrand is a useless gibbering idiot, parroting what radical far left idiots have already said. What a waste of a Senate seat she is. Go crawl under a maggot-infested rock, Kirstin.
Another anti- American big mouth jerk
Last summer I led a weeklong boys camp. We had two rules.
1. Dont do anything stupid
2. If you want to do something stupid, see rule 1
It was amazing how well it worked. We only had one incident and when I told the boy he broke rule one, he hung his head in shame and offered a very mature response.
This question is of course, purely hypothetical, but I would like to hypothetically ask if it is possible that I might have to hypothetically shoot 10 tyrants or more before reloading with my standard 30 round capacity magazine?
BTW, I own a 100 round AR-15 KCI drum mag that functions flawlessly. What sort of hoplophobic derangement might that induce among these gun grabbers?
Oh I know. Gillibrand gun control laws.
I wonder how Universal Background Checks would work.
My father dies and leave me his guns,
Who makes me take a background check?
And do they have to pass a background check to even possess them before they give them to me?
And why would we do it anyway, since the government has no record of these heirlooms to begin with.
Oh well... all hypothetical anyway since they all went down with that leaky boat of Dads
I THINK what you outlined (passing from parent to son) is currently illegal...if found out.
We’ve come a long way since 1962 when they ...”ONLY wanted to register handguns, not ban them. Long guns will not be affected!”
That would end many democrat careers.
Private ownership of an assault weapon in the US is almost ZERO. The mag capacity argument is silly. Simply carry more mags.
We have an untreated mental health problem.
The hospitals that once served this issue have been abandoned or closed.
Get real...
What about a pre-1896 not-a-firearm?
Thought to have read that too.
I’m sure that all 80 or so people in her audience were impressed by her brilliance.
NO.
“Id like to know who besides DJT is backing us up.”
Lots of county sheriffs all over the country who are defying lefty governors about Red Flag warrants and semi-auto registration.
Whole cities who are declaring themselves 2nd Amendment sanctuaries.
State legislatures who are passing 2A & CCW friendly laws.
There’s no rolling tide of gun control like the Parkland kiddies want us to think. But there are a lot of stupid because unenforceable state laws about magazines & AR-15’s which either make their governors look hesitating & ineffectual, or willing to risk civil war if they mobilize their LEO’s to start confiscating.
People on FR need to realize that Barack Obama is no longer President and that the radicalized U.S. House is nothing more than a giant Romper Room as long as PDJT holds office.
