UK companies failing to tackle climate change would be delisted from the London Stock Exchange under radical plans for greening the economy being drawn up by Labour. The UK government is taking "Alex Jones treatment" to the next logical step: unpersoning entire companies who fail to toe the party line. No trial, no judge, no jury, no appeal.

UK companies should openly announce plans to leave the country en masse if this passes.

I feel compelled to point out that the headline here says the exact opposite of what the article really says.

And the Stalin sucking Commies still pretend that the blacklist was ‘wrong’ and driven by ‘hysteria’.

They were fine with the tactic, they just didn’t like being on the receiving end.

Any chance that they could just list in a more business friendly area and just happen to do business in the UK?

I actually more and more find myself rooting for England to fall into disastrous disarray so that even if 45 percent of the country is till normal, they can take it back from the descent into utter madness.

80 years seems like a long time but not THAT LONG that a country that has been around for so long could go from fighting alone for the free world to going complete and utterly insane.

I’d imagine any that try will be clobbered over the head with “exit taxes” like a caveman finding a wife. If they’re not outright denied the freedom to leave.

I am sure that if each company ponied up the appropriate percentage of this extortion, payable to the government rather than a nebulous mission statement, all will be forgiven

This is fascism. You must be in line with the latest political mandates or you’re not allowed to be in business.

Peter Drucker was somewhat socialist, but he recognized that the government making such mandates was the death of personal freedom. He described how business requiring public support for various positions and government chekists making sure you follow all the increasing levels of micromanaging rules was the death of personal rights AND economic productivity.

Since the UK is getting more like Nazi Germany every day, why don’t they just take over those businesses, and put the owners in concentration camps?
