I remember when the Mayor of Costa Mesa tried to do this years ago.
Jack Kemp, who was Secretary of HUD, flew out here and forced the mayor to back down. One of my earliest warnings as to how great an enemy the GOP open borders wing was to normal America.

“’we need to make certain our scarce public resources help those who are legally entitled to it,’ Mr. Carson said.”
Ya think? Why is this even an issue? Why have they been allowed to use HUD benefits in the first place? So many patriotic Americans live in terrible conditions; it would make sense to help them first.

calling the move an attack and warning of a rise in homelessness in illegal immigrant-led families.
Homeless? What about their home back in Honduras or Guatemala or Mexico?

Still, immigrant-rights groups were incensed, calling the move an attack and warning of a rise in homelessness in illegal immigrant-led families.I don't see the problem here. Maybe they will finally leave the country.

We can always temper it with an incentive— those who volunteer to self deport would get a nice box lunch and an air-conditioned ride to the airport or seaport nearest their home.

Illegal immigrant-led families who claim a hardship could earn an 18-month reprieve under the rule.Just long enough to squirt out that anchor baby.

And, pray tell, given the environment Trump encountered his first two years, exactly HOW was he going to be able to do this “from the beginning”?
God, so many politically ignorant people out there.
