Biden: “First thing I’d do is repeal those Trump tax cuts.”....

Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden threatened to raise taxes during a speech in Colombia, South Carolina this past Saturday....“First thing I’d do is repeal those Trump tax cuts,” said Biden.

Biden also repeated a lie he made during his campaign kickoff speech, claiming only high-income households received a tax cut. The Washington Post gave this claim four Pinocchios, noting it was “clearly false.” The Post also stated: “Most Americans received a tax cut.”

“Joe Biden is not Methuselah. He is Walter Mondale part deux,” said Grover Norquist, president of Americans for Tax Reform. In 1984 Mondale famously promised to raise taxes if elected. He lost to Ronald Reagan in the electoral college 525-13, winning only his home state of Minnesota and the District of Columbia.

I think they're going to push the Health Insurance for all at the front. But even that is a heavy lift after the failure of Obamacare.

I think your idea is partially right, but I think there’s another angle: self preservation. He’s in up to his plugs in the anti-Trump shenanigans, and a lot of it ties into the deals his son had with the Ukraine and the fact that Biden actually publicly threatened to withhold foreign aid from them if they didn’t go along with his desired candidate in their elections. This is all going to come out if a full investigation is conducted.

On the DNC level, I think the plan is for him to draw support and then hand it off to some other candidate (probably Michelle Obama). On the Joe Biden level, I think it’s to document his irrationality, so that he can then plead illness, senility, or whatever when his past catches up with him.

If he wins the Democratic nomination, he will triangulate back to the center like Clinton did. That has been the plan all along.

As Warren Sapp once said: "The eye in the sky don't lie." What you put on tape is reality. By Biden putting this out now, and probably repeated during the primary season, he should see endless TV adds during the general election season if he's the nominee.

The first thing Plugs needs to do is find someone to wipe the oatmeal off his chin. He’s aged poorly the last two years.

In 1984, mondale promised to raise taxes if elected and look how well that turned out for him. Keep it up, Slow Joe.

Except Trump won't let him get away with it. He'll be tweeting Joe Golden Oldies like this seven or eight times a day.

Clever Joe. It is so unusual for a Democrat to take a stand against tax cuts. NOT!!!

His dealings with Hunter in Ukraine and other investment deals are certainly going to affect those who might consider a vote. He’s had decades of using his political positions to gain inside information both here and abroad. If those cash cows start being affected he’ll give pause along the way.

We agree then he’s not in this to win the presidency....but as you stated to hand off his support to another candidate. which I can’t imagine though it would be Michelle Obama?

Higher taxes are very appealing to Americans. Thanks, Joe.

His guarantee of repealing some of the GOP tax cuts while simultaneously proclaiming that no one’s taxes in the room would increase.....

Yet “You should have a choice to buy into a public-option healthcare plan like Medicare, now. Folks, we can afford it. We can afford it,” the former vice president said at a rally in Des Moines on Wednesday. “I will not raise your taxes at all, we don’t have to do it if we’re smart enough to deal with taking away some of these ridiculous” tax loopholes.

I think Bernie will get the young folk and draw the big crowds, just like before, but this time around the “establishment” candidate (Biden) will be tossed aside.

That superdelegate phenomenon that kept HRC in the lead, despite her obvious lack of enthusiastic support? The DNC won’t make that mistake again.

Some of the other Democrat hopefuls will have their flash in the pan but none will get legs during the 2020 cycle. Maybe a few of the younger, less boring ones will have a shot in 2024, but the DNC will not put a lightweight up against President Trump.

The DNC/MSM establishment won’t say it out loud, but they have finally come to realize that Donald Trump is no buffoon - he is perhaps the most formidable politician ever. They won’t underestimate him again.

Bottom line - I think they will put Bernie Sanders up against Trump because of Bernie’s “sincere anger” schtick. They know Bernie won’t win, but by energizing the righteous “angry young Leftist” demographic, he’ll at least prevent it from being an epic landslide for Trump.

At this point that’s their best case scenario for 2020 - they are focusing on 2024 to take back the White House.

Trump should hit the trail and head straight for Pennsylvania and the rust belt and tell those workers Biden wants to repeal the corporate tax cuts that brought back the industries and jobs. He wants to put them all back on food stamps and unemployment. Put it in simple stark terms.

He would bring the unemployment rate to 12%, bring in more bearded savages, open the borders to tatooed savages, send money to the palestinians, and to iran.
