In an interview, Saturday with MSNBC's Donny Deutsch, Democratic presidential candidate and South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg discussed his philosophy of campaigning and previewed some of the lines of attack he might take against President Trump.
"The fact that I was packing my bags for Afghanistan when he was filming season seven of 'Celebrity Apprentice,' we could have that fight," he said. "And if somebody wants to raise the question of which one of us has a more traditional attitude on marriage, we can have that fight."
"But at the end of the day, it's not about him, it's not about me," Buttigieg said. "Because here's the thing about this president. He has the ability to take any attention that comes his way, including attacks and criticism, and just kind of devour it, so we could unintentionally be feeding the beast by competing to see who's the one going to be landing the biggest punch, the best zinger, and the reality, if you step back and think about the mentality, that's an environment where it's almost like he's the one we're trying to impress."
DONNY DEUTSCH: You have had a stunning, stunning beginning to your campaign. The press is just nonstop. Latest TIME Magazine cover, a fantastic cover. You and your husband. Now, as a strategist, I might pull you aside after that and say, "Mayor Pete, that a very defining attribute, you and your husband on the cover." You being gay, as a defining versus just one of your core attributes. I would say, as a strategist, maybe we don't want that to be the defining attribute, but one of your core attributes. Would you push back on me on that?
MAYOR PETE BUTTIGIEG: That is something you think about when you're presenting yourself to a broader public,

This imbecilic cultural marxist, and all those who have accepted the corrupt “legitimacy” of homosexual marriage, always seem to neglect the point that IN PRINCIPLE there is no need for marriage to exist, nor would it; without the possibility of procreation within marriage IN PRINCIPLE. Absent the possibility of procreation IN PRINCIPLE, there was no need for marriage to exist in the first place. The institution was developed to formalize the responsibilities of the larger culture to the married heterosexual couple or polygamous group and the responsibilities attendant to the children born of that relationship.
As the well known computer speak axiom goes, “Garbage in, Garbage out.”
Who is more likely to reindustrialize America? Who is more likely to put Americans back to work? Who is more likely to secure the border and give us a rational immigration system? Who is more likely to thread the needle with Iran, North Korea and China, avoiding unnecessary conflict while being fully prepared to win a war if and when it happens?
I don’t care who “empathizes” more.
Not exactly Trump's strong suit either, but if he wants to have that discussion with Mike Pence then bring it on.
Donald Trump at the (future) debate:
“Any man who inserts his penis into another mans anus is not practicing ‘love’ he’s practicing perversion.”
Trump (whom is anti-rump) wins in a landslide.
LGBTQ’s hardest hit and offended.
Like the metoo bomb that blew up in all their faces. Heck, like the treason & collusion spectacle.
President Trump never claimed any superiority (on marriage), he supports Americans right to not have their own values destroyed or devalued.
These Democrats have no idea who they are dealing with. Yes, Trump is a maverick. BUT. Trump has experience being bloodied and savaged for two years. Trump is adaptable and knows how to fight.
Buttplug is trying to claim victim status making himself untouchable. That might work with an establishment GOPer, but NOT with Trump. Trump will beat this guy like a baby seal.
Trump could just counter with, “Yeah, but, with real marriages you don’t have to be a pain in the ass all the time”.
That’s odd, you don’t seem like an evangelical social conservative, at all.
Where the hell did this bozo come from anyway? I had never heard of him until a month ago, and now he is the media darling for one reason only: he’s gay and running for president. If he were straight they would laugh at a mayor running for president, especially if he were a Republican.
If Buttplug thinks his version of ‘marriage’ sustains civilizations, he might want to reference how many generations those so-called societies reproduced without TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE between a Man & Woman?
I find it ironic that even nature, which they literally worship, frowns upon homosexual marriage & lifestyle as kills them all off after less than a generation.
Things aren't always what they seem.
There is something good about Buttigieg. His genes will become extinct with his death.
Disgusting BUTTboy will get his....in the END....
Yes, quite true. Things aren’t always what they’re purported to be, either.
I didn’t think anybody watched MSNBC any longer...
Over Who “Has A More Traditional Attitude On Marriage”
Who cares ,what about running the US ? crickets
Question #1, for Mayor Pete:
Are rectal fissures part of a traditional marriage?
Ask him this question:
In the homosexual culture, what specific act is considered evidence of a true commitment to another man?
Traditional marriage. Like he knows it??? Where does he think he comes from? God did not create Adam and Bruce.
I suppose it’s too much to ask that Butt-gig be the Democrat nominee?
