Exclusive – Marsha Blackburn: Even the Media Can’t Ignore Historic Job Numbers
Breitbart ^ | 4 May 2019 | Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN)

Posted on 05/04/2019 5:02:33 PM PDT by KC_Lion

FILE - In this May 29, 2018 file photo, President Donald Trump listens as Rep. Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., speaks at a rally at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium in Nashville, Tenn. Blackburn is supposed to do well among Tennessee’s hog farmers and whiskey makers. Yet the Republican Senate candidate is struggling …

They just can’t help themselves. The liberal media does it every single day. They are drawn like moths to the flame for the D.C. story of the day. This week they were enamored with the House Democrats’ antics and their latest stunt. Republicans, with President Donald J. Trump’s leadership, remain focused on what the American people elected us to do. But even the media could not ignore the historic nature of the April jobs numbers released by the Labor Department on Friday.

The top level numbers are impressive on their own. The United States economy added 263,000 jobs last month, considerably more than the 180,000 economists expected.

To consider the real value of these statistics, we must remember that in each one of those 263,000 jobs is now a teenager saving for college, a single mom working to make ends meet, an anxious parent striving to provide for their children, and a deserving veteran joining the civilian workforce after serving our country.

The unemployment rate dropped down to 3.6 percent. That’s the lowest unemployment rate since December 1969, when I was a high school student working in a dress shop on weekends. Peter, Paul, and Mary; Steam; Diana Ross and The Supremes were at the top of the Billboard Charts. A Boy Named Charlie Brown first hit theaters, and we had just landed on the moon for the first time.

"Socialist plans like the Green New Deal and Medicare for All will not keep the economy growing; but maintaining the Republican majority in the Senate, taking back the House, and keeping President Trump in the White House for four more years will."

Well said.

And the report is great.

And it is true that growth brings in much more revenue.

But it won’t cover the bills when there are NO hold barred in spending.

Time to tackle that nugget but it was hard with an R house, now that the dems have it...well, as they say where I come from..forget about it.

She is a big improvement over Bob Cucker. Now, Tennessee, let’s do at least that well replacing Lamar Alexander.

Can't ignore? They can and will ignore real news that does not serve their agenda. They can and will push fake news that does serve their agenda.

They aspire to be effective propagandists, not journalists. They believe that journalism is for chumps.

There once was a time when the only American unhappy to learn there’d been a 263,000 monthly job increase was the Chairman of the Federal Reserve because he worried he might have to raise interest rates.

Today, the entire Democratic party is unhappy to learn of a 263,000 monthly job increase because they’re worried they won’t be able to elect a new Democratic president whose policies will instead destroy 263,000 jobs a month.

Got an e-mail that looked like it was from Marsha Blackburn but turned out to be from McConnell’s re-election campaign.
Hate to see her getting in bed with Bush League Republicans.

I saw Marsha on Friday in Chattanooga at the Armed forces Day Parade luncheon...

She never seems to get any older...

She stayed after lunch and talked to anyone who approached her...

She’s always been like that...
