The New York Times knows trouble lies ahead for them and many others. That’s why we suddenly see lots of leaks.
For example, the Times attempts to mitigate knowing that the FBI planted multiple spies in the Trump campaign.
The New York Times revealed the first of the spies in their latest report:
WASHINGTON — The conversation at a London bar in September 2016 took a strange turn when the woman sitting across from George Papadopoulos, a Trump campaign adviser, asked a direct question: Was the Trump campaign working with Russia?
The woman had set up the meeting to discuss foreign policy issues. But she was actually a government investigator posing as a research assistant, according to people familiar with the operation. The F.B.I. sent her to London as part of the counterintelligence inquiry opened that summer to better understand the Trump campaign’s links to Russia.
The American government’s affiliation with the woman, who said her name was Azra Turk, is one previously unreported detail of an operation that has become a political flash point in the face of accusations by President Trump and his allies that American law enforcement and intelligence officials spied on his campaign to undermine his electoral chances. Last year, he called it “Spygate.”
The FBI’s only goal was to not appear culpable in Hillary’s crime spree. And when Donald Trump won, the joke was on them. So they did the only thing they could do- the FBI opened a “counterintelligence investigation” in hopes of destroying Trump’s presidency.

The New York Times is so late to the game it’s pathetic. They’re going to have to play six months of catch-up. Also they are trying to spin the narrative and soften the blow to make it look like business as usual at the government agencies.

I noticed this too; Drudge is far more focused on presenting bogus “shock” polls from CNN that show the phony Hispanic, Beto, beating Trump by 10 points. Not a word about the taxpayer paid for spy on a political campaign - far worse than Watergate.

If the lawless Obama Regime was willing to abuse the “levers of power” in 2016 against the Trump Campaign, who says they didn’t do it in 2012 against Romney?
Maybe that was the “trial run”, which worked out the bugs, and let them fine-tune their interference strategy. Would be real interesting to hear from Romney’s former campaign manager if he noticed anything suspicious during that campaign.
IOW, maybe the investigations should look even further back than 2016 ...
They’re not late to the game at all. As Mark Levin said on his show last night, they are getting out in front of the clearly-stated objective by Barr to go after the spies, (Rice, et al.)
They are trying to advance the narrative that this was all ‘predicated’ - SOP, nothing to see here, just move along. “See, See! Obama and his minions were JUSTIFIED in spying on Orange Man Bad!”
They didn’t just develop a sense of Right and Wrong. Quite the opposite.
It’s time for DJT to smack Drudge, a la Judge Nap.

It already has, Adm Mike Rogers is reported to have found FISA abuse bask to 2012.
It will come out with the FISA declas after the Comey report which is due about late next week and which will indict Comey.
Maybe this was leaked a long time ago and ny times say on it until they needed their safety net.
And that is why it s critical to get people to plead guilty to stuff... Even if it was just lying to the FBI so they will drop charges on all the other made up crap. Fighting the DOJ isn’t cheap and it runs your life even if you do win.
Drudge has pulled a Chris Wallace and completely flipped.

Supposedly radio station 1050 KNX in LA will have a full hour interview with Comey today. No doubt he will be ripping on Trump, Barr and getting in front of the upcoming IG report. Scumbag.
