In the battle unfolding in Congress between the Democrats and Attorney General William Barr, I’m on the side of the United States Constitution. That means defending not only Mr. Barr but also President Trump. The two men stand on America’s legal bedrock.
Which is why Mr. Barr was able to make short work of his Democratic questioners at Wednesday’s hearing in the Senate. His calm, straightforward testimony made it clear that he isn’t the caricature the Democrats have been drawing of him.
And events aren’t the conspiracy the Democrats are still trying to validate, even after Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s finding that there was no collusion, actual or attempted, between Trump’s camarilla and the Kremlin. Nor any prosecutable obstruction case.
Yet no sooner did Barr, under pressure for an early summary, send a sketch of Mueller’s report to Congress than the Democrats started suggesting he had spun the story in favor of the President. That was the guts of the hearing in the Senate.
The nastiest of the Democrats — Senator Patrick Leahy of Vermont — went so far as to suggest that Mr. Barr had misled Congress in his reporting of the investigation. He tweeted that Mr. Barr “knew that Mueller had serious concerns” about Mr. Barr’s summary report.
So what? Mr. Mueller didn’t accuse Mr. Barr of misrepresenting him. He complained that Mr. Barr’s letter sketching the key elements of Mr. Mueller’s report didn’t “fully capture” the report’s “context, nature and substance.” What four-page sketch can fully capture a 448-page report?
It turns out that Mr. Mueller wanted the report released piecemeal. Mr. Barr overruled him. It looks similar to, say, a hapless middle-ranking editor (Mr. Mueller) caught between an activist staff (Mr. Mueller’s Clintonite investigators) and a hard-headed boss (Mr. Barr).

The only reason the Dems are trying to destroy Barr is to discredit him in advance of public revelations of indictments. Note the NYT articles on spying.
There is no question that Barr is great and the socialist tell the lie that he isn’t hoping mush heads will believe them. It is so ludicrous that it is laughable.
Tell that to the media. NorDUH O'Donnell, one of the 4 women hostesses on CBS This Morning was peeing in her panties about how Barr was lying, gosh was she overly upset for an "unbiased journalist". And Ricki klayman seemed like she was a personal lawyer for Nadler.
Only because they didn’t like his results.
Sounds like Norah O’Donnell was doing her best Martha Raddatz.
The bottom line is that Mueller had a team of anti-Trump haters and people who donated to Hillary on his team - so the deck was stacked from DAY ONE and they STILL couldn’t find anything on the President.
And the very fact he DID populate his team with those people indicates, beyond any question, what side he is on - in spite of all the bullshit spewed by Republicans (including Barr) about him being “fair” and unbiased.
Now branded a Liar, Barr is on the run for telling the Truth in Washington. Clap him in irons they scream, red-faced at the top of their lungs! lol

Oh, man - you should have heard Shep and little Chrissie go at it after Barr’s appearance. They were attacking “certain other people on Fox” [i.e., Tucker and Hannity] for their inability to see the “plain facts” - you know, like Barr is lying and Trump is guilty. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen such unvarnished bias and pure hatred on Fox News.
Dems desperately need to flak barrage our citizenry via the media to keep the coming Russiagate revelations from gaining traction and eroding their numbers. Recall that their open borders policy basically admits that their numbers are iffy minus a Dem voting influx of illegals. Too many of us refuse to be herded via their propaganda. The Dems know that their press assets must report the news, and the Rissiagate stories will not be spinnable to their satisfaction. This is what scares the kwap out of them. This is low intensity assymetric cultural conflict- a media war, aided and abetted on their side by the traitorous neocon oligarch never Trump American fascisti. As the Dems become more hysteric, they walk the knife of being perceived as headless chickens by Joe Sixpack and trailer park America. The staff officers on both sides are watching the polling data and viewership statistics like hawks. We need to push them into a Jussie Smollett frame of mind.
I think you may be right and Mr. Barr is getting the Ken Starr treatment.
With Sessions in office this would have gone on until late next year.
Barr put an end to it.
Once all have agreed you cannot change the rules without catastrophe. Democrats caused this. BIG TIME.
