Why did he pick a location where guns were not allowed? That makes no sense whatsoever. He had to know he was breaking the law.
Note: I have been on campus during 3 school shootings.

Trystan Andrew Terrell has been identified as the suspect in the shooting (UNCC)
He studied history at UNCC and was a 22-year-old history major. He dropped out from UNCC this semester. Upon his capture, Terrell appeared to slightly grin and “shouted” something that reporters could not make out.
I’ll just presume he was an obvious Democratic Party voter.
The hometown makes the evening news.

It’s an extreme form of attention seeking copy-cat behavior coupled with a pathological lack of empathy.
Lots of people have minor or underlying psyche issues and they seem to manifest with lethal consequences at a higher degree of frequency due to:

illegal drugs
parental neglect
prescription drugs
media hyped circus
social media exposure
admitting terorists to USA
If that dude was in my class, I’d change majors.
