I’m in a union. And I don’t think I have ever voted for the candidate they endorse. Or even that party. No doubt some of my dues have gone to them but I get them back in the voting booth.

This is a classic Union Leadership vs Rank and File disconnect. Go to the parking lot behind any full-time fire station. You will find bumper stickers for IAFF, National Rifle Association, Trump 2016, and Pro-Life causes.

This year, IAFF President Harold Schaitberger said, the 315,000-member union plans to quickly deploy an organized effort to boost Biden in the early-voting states.
“I have been in touch on a consistent basis with the campaign and the vice president,” Schaitberger told POLITICO on Monday. Once Biden’s announcement goes live, Schaitberger continued, “our executive board will be prepared to immediately meet and formally take a position on the primary and we’ll likely be prepared to make that announcement on the 29th.”
Seems that way doesn’t it? However, strip away the metro Chicago counties and the other 90-95% of the state votes like Wyoming.
Public unions are ALL going to endorse a Democrat.
