Massachusetts Judge CRIES After Being Charged With Helping An Undocumented Immigrant Evade ICE

A Massachusetts judge has left court in tears after being indicted on obstruction of justice charges for allegedly helping an illegal immigrant evade immigration officials.

Judge Shelley M Richmond Joseph and trial court officer Wesley MacGregor are accused of conspiring to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from taking an undocumented immigrant into custody at Newton District Court on April 2, 2018.

Joseph had allegedly ordered the courtroom recording device to be turned off for 52 seconds while she and the defendant Jose Medina-Perez's lawyer had a conversation about getting him out of the courthouse instead of handing him over to an ICE officer, according to the indictment. MacGregor allegedly used his access badge to release Medina-Perez through a rear door.

Joseph was seen crying when she left federal court in Boston Thursday.

According to CBS, Joseph's attorney Tom Hoopes said outside court: 'This prosecution is absolutely political, Shelley Joseph is absolutely innocent.'

Looks to me like she made a deal with the wetback; she gets him away from ICE, and in return he pretends to be hot for her. WOW! Freight train;gavel road! The only positive observation I can make, is that she appears to be very low maintenance.

I lived in Newton for 22 years (and Brooklyn before that).

In Newton, when someone sneezed in 2008-2009, people often said "Barack You".

I'm sure right now they are channeling their hatred of Trump into fundraising for this judge, and planning subversion of the law to get her off. Their hatred of normal Americans is incandescent by now.

Whew! 22 years.

So you know exactly what I mean! (I drive through or occasionally go to a restaurant there, but I do that in Cambridge, too. And you know what that place is like...:)

In my gut, I don’t think she will see the inside of a jail, which is not good.

However, no matter how they wiggle, I don’t she is going to slither her way back on the bench...and her tears show that.

Her entire professional life that she worked to attain...is gone, the lawyer degree, the judgeship, and I think she knows it.

Thus the crocodile tears.

I’d say the tears are genuine enough.
She knows it’s over for her.

I’d like to see an awful lot of employers crying those tears.

So would I.

Well said, VK. Yes, she is pulling her “FEMALE ACT” for sympathy. But I thought the feminists are insisting on equal treatment??

Baltimore? Absolutely.

NEVER attempt to hang a swing from a branch ready to fall.

How about:
Please swing a traitor from Home Depot lumber that once was a branch :-)

"...that face you make..."

It is the face of someone who got caught and is really, REALLY sorry she got caught.

But not sorry about what she did.

Not sure what article you are pointing to?? Is Peggy Noonan at it again with her foolish anti-Trumpery?

I’m sure her idol, Ronald Reagan, is turning over in his grave reading the idiocy that Noonan writes about a man who is saving the Republic.
