Massachusetts Judge CRIES After Being Charged With Helping An Undocumented Immigrant Evade ICE

A Massachusetts judge has left court in tears after being indicted on obstruction of justice charges for allegedly helping an illegal immigrant evade immigration officials.

Judge Shelley M Richmond Joseph and trial court officer Wesley MacGregor are accused of conspiring to prevent Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from taking an undocumented immigrant into custody at Newton District Court on April 2, 2018.

Joseph had allegedly ordered the courtroom recording device to be turned off for 52 seconds while she and the defendant Jose Medina-Perez's lawyer had a conversation about getting him out of the courthouse instead of handing him over to an ICE officer, according to the indictment. MacGregor allegedly used his access badge to release Medina-Perez through a rear door.

Joseph was seen crying when she left federal court in Boston Thursday.

According to CBS, Joseph's attorney Tom Hoopes said outside court: 'This prosecution is absolutely political, Shelley Joseph is absolutely innocent.'

Agreed. That is how most evil people view compassion. Even the beadiest-eyed thug sees readily sees weakness in misplaced compassion even if they can’t cover the simplest of their tracks.

As a people, as Christians, and as a nation, we can be compassionate, but misguided compassion in any role (especially as a nation) can be just as corrosive and destructive as outright lawbreaking.

Being misguided in your personal or Christian compassion can, at worst, result in personal injury or death.

At a national level, misguided compassion can result in wars, genocide, and the fall of nations.

They will pursue the more traditional avenues to allow them to flee.

Like meeting in the next door watering hole after work to collude rather than doing it in the courtroom.

An aside...the next door watering hole in Santa Cruz, CA is called the "Jury Room."

She deliberately violated the established laws of the United States of America. How can that be considered political prosecution?

How can she be considered "absolutely innocent"???????

That is pretty much what I meant.

The fact they would be brazen enough to do this at the front of a courtroom, filled with people and a recording device is disturbing and shows how far they have come in subverting and circumventing the law openly.

.....”That is recorded criminal conspiracy to obstruct justice right there.”....

But why was she intent on this particular illegal? and that he's still on the run now will she be held responsible for any of his further criminal activities? Her husband is also an Attorney so both will certainly have many connections they'll be bringing to their table.

Like you I cannot imagine how she’s going to wiggle out of this...however I’ve seen some pretty slippery deals made to avoid jail. So this is going to be interesting.

Despite the outcome...I do think Judges seeing this are going to think twice on how far they’re willing to go.

I think she was intent, because she is an ideological judge.

A Leftist. She is committed to subverting law she doesn’t “believe” in.

Also, I would bet she has engaged in this activity before and it was never picked up on and publicly revealed. And I will bet her husband helped her in various ways.

I am certain they view themselves romantically as some kind of “Underground Railroad”. The difference is the Underground Railroad dealt with slavery which all agree is a moral issue and an insult to the creator.

Criminals in the country illegally who also commit crimes has no such blanket of moral equivalency to slavery.

What a flaming turd she is. I hope she bawls her eyes out all the way into the stripey hole.

In the best outcome for her, she won’t be on the bench or practicing law, and I cannot see a way for her out of that.

It will piss me off royally if she avoids jail and fines.

Looks like she's only been a Judge for couple years....I agree she likely thought, (as all leftists do), all along about the power she welds and how to use it for her “activist ideology”.

Well she and her husband had their own firm so they operated independently before she was appointed....who knows . how crooked the two are but I suspect it will be found out along the way.

new standard of legal malpractice.

Over and over we go with the same repetitive correction: it's not malpractice, the media is not biased, the FBI is not corrupt, etc.

People who think along these terms will continue to be confused in recognizing the real issue(s) at hand. It's really quite simple, and should be referenced whenever one finds themselves potentially frustrated and/or angry.

So, once again, here it is: We are at war. Regular people around the world who have entrusted certain societal functions to government bodies have been asleep at the wheel. 1984 wasn't a warning, it was an instructional guide.

There is a cabal of people who are motivated by nothing more than the desire to acquire power, wealth and control. It's what they think about when they wake up, it establishes their social network of friends & colleagues, and it's what they direct their primary energies towards during the day. These kinds of people have always existed, and they always, ALWAYS attack the systems of government as their primary target. Corruption, coercion, crime and terror are their chief tools - these techniques have always worked in the past, and they continue to work today.

Way down the totem pole are the actual foot soldiers in the war against normals. Their pay-off via corrupt institutions is a chance at acquiring economic comfort at the expense of the vagaries of the private commercial marketplace. People like this judge never have to get dirty, never have to do any hard work. It's all the gravy train, as long as they go along to get along.

Now, since these enemies of the people have always existed (and will always exist), it's why the founders and other political philosophers always point to experience as they issue warnings from the grave. This being the case, it is much more effective to simply consider these monsters "enemies of the people". It's why Trump uses the term, it's why I and others use the term.

There isn't any malpractice, mistakes, (media) bias, etc involved - they providing excuses. These terrorists are a threat to liberty and freedom no different than Stalin, Hitler, Mao & Tojo - they are all from the same casting process. Some may call it evil, but for a devout atheist such as myself, it's just an evolutionary defect.

Combat the existential threat by recognizing what it for what it is; don't waste emotional time trying to think it through.
