House Ways and Means Chairman Richard Neal is not backing down on his request for six years of the President Donald Trump's personal and business tax returns, he writes In a new letter sent Saturday to IRS Commissioner Charles Rettig.
In a two-page letter, Neal writes that he believes his committee is well within its rights to see the President's tax returns and that he expects a decision from the IRS within the next 10 days.
"I expect a reply from the IRS by 5:00 p.m. on April 23, 2019. Please know that if you fail to comply, your failure will be interpreted as a denial of my request," Neal writes.

That’s not a flaw. The legislative branch was designed to be the most powerful of the three. But it was also designed to be the one least prone to dictatorial tendencies because it is comprised of many elected members.

hello congress?
separation of powers?
once upon a time, congress and its individual members recognized and respected the us constitution...
:-(
That’s a great idea!
And after a while someone would use those returns to create graphs showing how they entered into Congress broke, yet become multimillionaires in a decade or two. Maybe then people will stop and wonder about that.

...and Bob.
“Please know that if you fail to comply, your failure will be interpreted as a denial of my request,”
Correctamundo....dipshit.
How many strongly worded letters will they send before they threaten to send a strongly worded letter?
Wanting Trump’s retu[rns is not enough. Don’t they need to have a reason?
I don’t believe the Constitution makes the House lord and master over all.
Lots of politicians don’t mind releasing their tax returns. They get bribed in ways that don’t tend to show up on the return, like selling their house for $100,000 more than it is worth. Or Hillary’s cattle futures!
Trump is a businessman with multiple businesses. A business can be harmed if details are released to its competitors. Running a business is something most politicians never do.That is why a senator running for President has no problem releasing their tax return, but an active businessman does.
Dear Mr. Neal,
We are in receipt of your letter requesting we hereby do an audit of PDJT’s tax returns forewith. While we understand your concerns regarding this tax matter we wish to inform you there will no audit of said returns at this time.
However, we must inform you of the abnormalities that have been found in your own returns, discovered during a routine investigation of your returns dating back to 1982 and continuing forward to the present.
We are ordering you to appear before our board to answer questions and provide the receipts for your rather large write off anomalies. Thank you for your concern regarding POTUSDJT and your cooperation in regards to your own questionable claims. We look forward to working closely with you to resolve your situation.
Sincerely,
INTERNAL REVENUE SERVICE
P.S. please bring your documented proof of adoption of the Ugandan village of albino children. Thirty five sets of identical triplets special needs olympic sled team homeless Katrina survivor victims with PTSD and ADHD seems rather large for one man to care for and maintain in this present economic downturn. We trust you will present the adoption papers and family photos of the children on their volunteer working vacation at Yellowstone Park, USA. Retrieving bear $hit in the woods is no easy job.
They were vicious when they started this. Now they've veered onto the dead end road of insanity and stupidity.
Dear IRS Commissioner;
We really really really mean it this time.
Lovingly,
House Committee

Dear House Committee;
The laws have not changed.
Respectfully,
IRS Commissioner
Let the buyer beware concerning the following numbers.
Fun Fact: Nancy Pelosi has a $196 million net worth on a $193,000 senator's salary.
Corrections welcome.
As some conservative commentator has questioned, we know how PDJT made his billions. The question is, how did Speaker Pelosi make her millions?
That's what the duel was designed for...
I read your statute and that is an excellent point. They are conspiring to interfere or deprive The President from fulfilling his duties of office and he should sue them immediately. They are violating this statute without any doubt.
Make no mistake, there are NO "good people" at the IRS. 99.9% are in the same camp as AOC and her ilk. They hate America and what it stands for. Lois Lerner should have been hanged from a scrub oak for the buzzards to feed on.
