This was the proper word in the 1950s. How old is this guy? It was probably an innocent mistake. Like when the president pronounced Tanzania the way we used to say it.

Or even if the person is old, it could be a different kind of slip.
Why is everyone always trying so hard to prove that white people are racist? I think because their whole political raison d’etre falls apart if we’re not racists. So tired of it all.
