We and the Left are now two nations within one country. This is undeniable. We are now so different that we cannot even agree on what a country is, or on the merits of a country having a border. The number of people who still say, "I just don't care about politics" dwindles. It is still possible to hate both sides — but it is getting hard to be indifferent and still be breathing. How many people can just take or leave infanticide? How many people are entirely flexible about the idea of the government having authority over anything and everything, to experimenting with our fundamental demographics, or to giving up fossil fuels cold turkey? The abyss looms large beneath us.
We conservatives have let this ideological cancer metastasize for far too long for its excision to be simple or painless. For too long, we have been patient with outrages we should have fought to reverse. We have let our opponents secede incrementally from us for decades. We have been tolerant and patient...we have given up our civil society, our political representation, and our freedoms one by one. Our maladies won't be fixed by delicate adjustments now...Either the cancer wins, and kills us all, or we defeat it — and we accept the scars. Let us not pretend they would not be hideous scars. And let us not pretend it would not be a deeply barbarous and bitter surgery.
The titanic nations of the Left and right are rising en masse — flexing their muscles and snorting menacingly at one another. We cannot get out of their way. There is no safe part of the country, nor any genuinely safe haven left in any other country. This is a global conflict. We have run out of frontiers.

Go listen to the Yuri Bezmenov interviews. Go read the Soviet Communist goals for subverting the US/West the were read into the Congressional Record c. 1963. Then look at what Democrats stand for, their platform, their legislative initiatives, etc.
It is hard to escape the conclusion that we are seeing the effects of a successful multi-decadal psyops program.
I think all of North America will burn before we ever see that. Then again, I see the glass as half full, as you’ve astutely pointed out.

China is not communist, at least not in the way that you think it is. The great thing is that it isn’t a republic or a democracy. Both all eventually slide into mob rule with them becomes easy to control by oligarchy. Like what happened to the USA.
China is traditional, and conservative.
China is a single political party. Quite like what the founding fathers envisioned the United States to be.
China has one basic policy which is “China First”.
If you have learned about China through the American (or British) main-stream media then you are terribly mis-informed. I would suggest that get a plane ticket and come to your own conclusions. Ignore what I have to say, and most certainly avoid the propaganda out of the main-stream American media.

The American Bill of Rights is a useless scrap of paper with zero influence in the lives of Americans. The mere fact that there is a Utah Data Center tells you just how effective the 4th Amendment is.

The good thing is that the Commies have brainwashed children into thinking that the Communist Party will supply their needs and provide equality and give them safety. There will be NO safety where this country is headed.
Who knows who the Commie leaders are or where their command and control structure is. But it does appear that the Commies have built a weak army of brainwashed kids in the U.S. who they were counting on to change the laws and culture.
They changed our laws and culture alright, but now our culture and society is on the verge of a breakdown and their laws protecting their "safety" will go out the window.
A breakdown in our economy and society will render those brainwashed kids useless and the Commie leadership is actually tiny and comprised mostly of professors and a few maniacs like Bill Ayers, George Soros, and Bob Avakian of the Revolutionary Communist Party, USA (or Revcom).
I was told by 30 year old female a couple years ago: “My generation cannot wait for your generation to die off.”

That's the point.
In this country, there is/was an attempt to take over the country/culture/legal system, not the government per se.
They don't control the government...yet.
Until they control the government (particularly the military), they are vulnerable.
Seems like a natural internal conflict for most lefties...to be for gun control on one hand and arm up on the other.
