A south Palo Alto activist has been fired from her accounting job at Gryphon Stringed Instruments after chasing a man wearing a Make America Great Again cap out of Starbucks and then posting about the confrontation on Facebook.
Rebecca Parker Mankey, 46, was fired on Tuesday (April 2), the day after she yelled at a man with a bushy gray beard named Victor who regularly visits the Starbucks at 361 California Ave. in Palo Alto wearing a red MAGA hat. Mankey didnt return the Posts requests for comment.
Anybody in Palo Alto know this freak? Mankey asked in a widely shared Facebook post that included two photos of the man at Starbucks. He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again. If you see him in this hat, please confront him.

No argument there.
SHE has enough hostility to choke the whole stabe.
And yet if she walked into a Chick fil a they’d serve her with pleasant smile and a “My pleasure, ma’am!”
Assaulting the elderly gets you a felony charge in some states.
Looks like the Democrats have found their 2020 candidate!
She is following her masters orders.
Maybe Gyrphon Music is not a subdivision of the Democrat National Committee.
Best point on the thread.
Nah, when you have an employee who is unable to control herself to the point she harasses and threatens an elderly man who is just sitting by himself, then goes on Facebook to try and encourage others to form a mob to harass him, you can’t just sit back and pretend you have a normal employee. Not only is there the risk that she might lose control at the work place, but it also makes the company look bad to the public (and the store received lots of angry calls).
I am going to go against the current. Her being hired or fired by Gyrphon Music should be unrelated to her conduct outside of her employment.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Wrong. Here’s why.
She likely has her Employers name on her FakeBook page. By going public with her idiocy and bigotry, she has also brought shame and disgrace to her bosses. No doubt her doxxing this poor guy got herself doxxed at work. She created a problem at work.
She deserved to get fired.
She ain’t the first to use Social Media and thereby harm her employers. She won’t be the last.
It doesn’t matter. It should not be a matter for public opinion to determine. It is a matter between the business and her. I simply don’t see that Gryphon Music has an obligation to monitor employee’s off-hours behavior. I see her employment is a non-issue.
She’s (its?) already been hit, multiple times, and hard, with both an ugly stick and a stupid stick. The brain damage with this one, is severe. I guess that she/it is building her bona fides with the ‘Just-us Demonrats’ in Calfornia. Brain damage probably severe enough to warrant a successful run for Office on the Dhimmi ticket in CA.
“Gryphon Stringed Instruments fired her rather quickly (they are, by the way, a really good little music store).”
The article calls them:
“...a company that sells, rents and repairs used and vintage instruments from guitars to mandolins.”
Since you seem to know them, tell me: What comes between guitars and mandolins?
GAH!!!
If I were a man, there are not enough bullets, pills, blindfolds or torture methods that would make me get an erection after seeing that.
God has blessed you with the wisdom of discernment.
I AM SPARTACUS!
Can’t blame the troglodyte for being an angry savage. I would be too if I were this ugly. I’m betting the cobwebs in her nether region are another source of angst. Who in their right (or wrong) mind would touch this thing?
Anyone seen this freak?
Hammer dulcimer.
