esponding to fresh criticism from President Donald Trump Tuesday evening that her Green New Deal climate change proposal was done by a young bartender, Democrat Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez told Newsweek Wednesday that the last guy who underestimated me lost.
Thats all I gotta say about that, she added.
In an unexpected upset, the freshman New York congresswoman and former bartender unseated incumbent Democratic Congressman Joseph Crowley in her 2018 primary election.
Ocasio-Cortez has faced continued criticism from Republicans and the president for her ambitious climate change proposal, which seeks to achieve net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and for the U.S. to operate on 100 percent renewable energy by 2030a feat critics say is unrealistic, in addition to overly expensive.
A young bartender, wonderful young woman, the Green New Deal. The first time I heard it, I said, That's the craziest thing, Trump said Tuesday evening at a fundraising dinner for the National Republican Congressional Committee.
But he told Republicans not to kill the proposal just yet.
Don't kill it because we want to be able to run against it, the president said. If they beat me with the Green New Deal, I deserve to lose.
In a Senate vote last week, which Democrats classified as political showboating by Republicans while the GOP said it gave Democrats the opportunity to express their support on the record, the Green New Deal failed to advance. In protest to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell putting the non-binding resolution up for a vote before having hearings or debates, Democrats voted "present" with Republicans voting against it. The final vote was 0-57.
Despite House Democratic leadership showing little willingness to consider the Green New Deal as a whole, Ocasio-Cortez told Newsweek that was not the point of the proposal.

That’s what I was thinking.
.....Bipolar mania delusions of grandeur are flaring up again. This woman is literally bat sh*t crazy.
Shes also too stupid to know that every @sshole that has flagrantly attacked Trump has ended up as bloody, stinking maggot-infested roadkill.
You Got That Right!
Crowley, who lives in Virginia, had to hand his office as Queens County Dem Chairman over to his wife because he didn’t live in the state, and disappointed his constituents by not voting pro-life as they wished him to.
Ocasio, who went around knocking on doors in the Bronx, somewhat avoiding the Queens Democrats, essentially running a stealth campaign, and was set up as a “candidate” in a beauty contest by the Justice Democrats, who also supported Tlaib and Omar in an attempt to take over Congress by members with extreme left views and coached their candidates to say just the “right things.”
These jazzy comments are not the product of someone whose previous position was bartender. They are fed to the congresswoman by her sophisticated handlers. People shouldn’t even treat them as worthy of being placed in a “dialogue” with Donald Trump.
Bi-polar or borderline personality disorder...
Too late.
Who lives in a gold-gilded apartment penthouse on Fifth Avenue, and who complained about not having enough money for rent?

Well I’ll be a suck-egg mule!
Who came up with Chiquita Krushchev?
It is really good.
Yeah, and the last woman (and her cabal of fellow travelers) who underestimated Donald Trump lost...bigly. Anything you can do, Alexandria, he can do better...and has.
The last woman who underestimated the president also lost.
Not true ... unless it was a particularly stupid walnut.
To which Trump could reply, “the last 17 people who underestimated me lost . . . then the last woman who underestimated me lost . . . “
Wish I could speak to her for an
hour or so.
She would never recover.
Paging Forrest Gump...have we got a gal 4 u.

You know Trump is being nice to her because he hasn’t even given her a Twitter nickname. Speaking of which ... is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that “Cryin’ Chuck” Schumer seems to have vanished from the public scene?
