Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman won't be spared prison time in any plea bargain they cut for their alleged involvement in a college admissions scandal, according to a new report.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that prosecutors in the case will recommend that prison time be attached to any deal.
"You can't have people being treated differently because they have money," an official told the website. "That's how we got to this place. Every defendant will be treated the same."

Well my thought is that bribing an individual to misuse his/her authority as a fiduciary over scholarship funds is the crime.
I’m not sure whether striking a deal directly with the university would have been a crime or not.

I don’t see where prison time or even arrest and trial would do any good at all for the system. Nothing will change. There will be a bit of rearrangement of tactics and nothing more. The cure for everything that ails Education in America is for the Federal Government to completely withdraw fro any connection to Education beyond the Service Academies. No grants. No loans. No government scholarships. No government guarantees of student loans. If the government gets completely out and away from the Education business these things will all correct themselves in the Market and costs will fall precipitally.

So the kids got bought in.
Other kids write up a bogus sob story to get bought in with a different currency.
Other kids check racial check-marks on apps to get bought in with that currency.
Actual merit means next to nothing any more.
And soon, college diplomas won’t mean much more than a $100,000.00 debt and no real functional education. Even STEM is under attack by the usual suspects.
The smart kids are going to trade schools or getting apprenticeships in the mechanical arts.
My take as well. I certainly hope they do not do more time that a violent perp.
