Dems who fumed at Nunes for jeopardizing ‘sources and methods’ now demand Mueller report in full

Congressional Democrats are stepping up calls for Special Counsel Robert Mueller's Russia report to be released in full -- even preparing subpoenas -- despite complaining just over a year ago that Republicans were jeopardizing “sources and methods” with their decision at the time to release a memo on alleged government surveillance abuse.

Now, the roles are reversed.

Republicans, many of whom still want the report released, are deferring to Attorney General Bill Barr as he says he needs time to vet with his team what information can and cannot be made public. But Democrats have shown little patience for that process, blasting Barr for releasing only a four-page summary and imposing an April 2 deadline for Mueller to turn over the full report to Congress, demanding “full transparency.”

“Congress has asked for the entire Mueller report, and underlying evidence, by April 2. That deadline stands,” House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said Friday, after Barr said he would provide the full Mueller report to Congress by mid-April. “In the meantime, Barr should seek court approval (just like in Watergate) to allow the release of grand jury material.”

If it wasn’t for double standards, Democrats would have no standards at all

Dems who fumed at Nunes for jeopardizing ‘sources and methods’ now demand Mueller report in full

And Republicans who had no problem with what Nunes released now want the Mueller report redacted. There is no monopoly on hypocrisy for either party.

Personally, I think that Barr should give the Dem's exactly what they ask for, but in a way they don't want.

Barr could just release everything and then start sending for indictment all kinds of IG researched Democratic operatives and pressuring them to flip. While Trump declassifies all kinds of sensitive materials that show how corrupt the Democrats really are and how they have worked with foreign nationals illegally.

Alternately Barr could release more of the report but redact portions, but allow members of Congress to read (in an ultra secure room) redacted portions (if they have a security clearance and promise under penalty of perjury not to leak the classified portions of the report) and then prosecute every one that does any kind of leak.

I think it is time for full contact blood-sport politics by the Trump Administration. Go Trump, Go nuclear!

Rush, Levin, Hannity have all covered that aspect.

The MSM won’t.

They want people to believe there is something being hidden....................

I'd like to see the FULL report on Hillary's interview and the background, too.

What do you mean there is no text of the interview.

Sure there is...It'll come out. I'm sure someone kept it as their security blanket.

The "source and methods" should NOT be redacted ... because they are part of the scandal.

Th FBI plants a story in the media (NYT, WaPo, CNN, etc.) ... then the media goes public with the story, citing "anonymous sources" ... then the FBI uses that media report to get a FISA warrant to conduct surveillance on U.S. citizens.

This is a nice police state we've allowed to be built around us, folks.
