Even before Seattle Police investigators have been able to determine a motive for Wednesday’s wild shooting spree in the Seattle’s Lake City neighborhood, a member of the Seattle City Council tweeted, “We must have stronger gun control laws,” as if one more law might have prevented the chaos.
The tweet came from Councilwoman Teresa Mosqueda, who added in her message, “We must crack down on hate.” But was this a hate crime, or something else?
Mayor Jenny Durkan also made the almost obligatory call for an end to so-called “gun violence,” even though one of the two victims actually died in a car crash with the suspect, who was at the wheel of a car he took from a man he fatally shot in the face, according to the Associated Press and Seattle P-I.com.

According to The Seattle Times, the gunman claimed he was an alcoholic who had recently fallen off the wagon, gotten drunk, blacked out, and had no memory whatsoever of the shootings. If true, I’m not sure what this has to do with “hate.”
I think if you shoot some one on purpose he really don’t like them.
You might even say you hate them.
This is a bit of a chicken and egg thing, but besides shootings, what else would motivate an anti-gun lobby?
Taking up too much space in the basement?
Noisy?

Yeah, the guy had no previous criminal record, just got drunk and went nuts.
Right after NV I bought a Ruger .223 AR type gun. I then ordered 40rd. magazines with the ammo to fill them delivered to my front door much to the chagrin of my CA friends. Did I ever have fun at the range with that thing - and none of the guns in the house got up, loaded a mag, went to the front door and shot the FedEx driver.

Signs saying Gun Free Zone and laws stating gang thugs should go in to fill out forms for background checks starting a waiting period are laughably stupid but also tragic.
Again, how does a liberal get to paint all legal, innocent gun owners with a broad brush as potential school shooters because of one deranged fool?
Do we get to say because of Elizabeth Warren, Biden, Maxine and AOC that all Dems are incompetent to be in the House or Senate and should be removed? Actually, let's go for that.
The gun grabbers wave the corpses of shooting victuns the same way Gen. Benjamibn Butler waved a bloody shirt during the Civil War.
Seattle has more to worry about than some lone drunk nutcase.
