Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) blocked a resolution calling for special counsel Robert Mueller's report to be made public, arguing that Congress should also call for the release of communications and testimony from Obama-era officials.

Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-Minn.), who is one of several Democratic senators running for president, tried to get unanimous consent for the Senate to pass the resolution, which cleared the House in a 420-0 vote earlier this month.

Where are all the Paul bashers at now. Just because Paul deviates on an issue doesn’t mean he should be primaried. Hell, if the entire Senate consisted of Pauls we wouldn’t have none of the problems we’re having now.

Lindsey Graham blocked the resolution two weeks ago by demanding a special counsel to investigate Hillary Clinton, and Republicans have blocked it 3 more times, including Paul’s objection.

Rand is a true believer. He knew it would hurt him with the GOP but thought the action exceeded powers. I don’t agree with him, but I’d take an stand up guy like him over most of those snakes in suits. He has convictions and sticks to them.

Not really. Rand wanted to take an extreme position so his cult Paulistinians would notice his strutting about on the beltway theater stage and send him more money.

Just saying Paul isn’t the only one who is doing this.

“...Was President Obama involved?”...”\

More like “What OBunghole know, and when did he order it into action?”

I’d love to see that skinny kenyan POS indicted.

I don’t always agree with his positions, but I do understand them as he tends to be clear why he’s taking his positions..... As a politician and person I like the guy overall...but not enough to say I’d want the entire Senate to be like him.

Had a dream this week.

The Dims apply incredible pressure to get all of Mueller’s working papers.

Then, the hundreds of thousands of documents and records demonstrate Hillary, Bill, 0bama, all of their lackeys, committed treason and sedition

I like Paul, even when I disagree with him. He’s true to his convictions and he’s one of the few who legitimately want to shrink the size of the federal government, something that used to matter to conservatives.

Somebody’s got to replace Trump after 2024, I don’t see anybody right now better than Paul.

We need to know was there malfeasance, was there misuse of power, did President Obama's administration get involved in an election to infiltrate the Trump campaign to trap them?

We ALREADY know that. And...we also know that another dog and pony show won't produce justice. If it did, the whole cabal would be in prison on death row.

In addition to asking for information to be publicly released, Paul's amendment would also call for Obama-era CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper to testify under oath

This is the single greatest takeaway in Paul's amendment. You put Brennan and Clapper under oath about the known fake dossier being used in the FISA request and they will sing and point the finger at Obama. They have hinted that Obama was involved in public interviews. They are not going to prison to protect that jester...they will bring him down with them.

Paul is reliably unreliable.

He is not shy about doing the same blockage to us, if it gets him some ink.

I give him credit for his present action; however, the good Citizens of the great state of Kentucky, as well as the GOP members of the House can do much, much better.

Bingo!

I’d be happy if he would introduce a bill to RECORD FBI 302 interviews (like just about every PD in the nation), instead of relying on written interview “summaries” by the agents conducting the interview.

... Justice Department to fully release the report to Congress and to release it to the public “except to the extent the public disclosure of any portion thereof is expressly prohibited by law.”

Who else knows liberals double speak and how "Congress" would redact all that the public really wanted to know?

They would also leak those parts.

The "public would only have accusations to read.

Not to mention how mentally challenged the populace is and would never bother to read the report and rely on Joe S and his buddies to tell them what it contained.

They just can't let it go. They are truly evil. At some point a grown adult would have to tell themselves to let it go and move on but not them.

Why should we give up the Mueller report so they can pick it apart and follow more innuendo for the next two years free of charge

Imagine all the box canyons of allegations they can make a new drumbeat about

If they want that opportunity then they can pay a price ...one that likely will thwart their continued efforts to topple Trump

Paul knows they don’t want the info on what Yates Clapper and Brennan and Comey and Lynch and so forth in the Obama White House had to do with this spying and subsequent attempted political coup to be exposed

Btw Paul is not the first to block this.

This crap has made it extremely difficult for a man we elected to govern in case you didn’t notice

So don’t blame the gadfly.....and he’s not his dad btw

Paul is the master of the meaningless gesture.

Well said. If he wants other information then let's get on with it and get'r done.
