So was Socrates.
What it may contain is information that will give former Obama administration officials the chills.
It’s funny how that Constitution works. It is set in stone to protect each individual from the mob. We have to accept the good with the bad as written. If we don’t like it, then we have to get off our asses and go through the LEGAL steps and hoops to change it. Until then it is LAW personally convenient or not.
I don’t disagree with Rand.
I pray the truth will out with Obama and his corruption and his corrupt administration.
Funny thing about dogs... They can smell out a nasty person long before we pay attention to them. They always turn out to be right in the end. The Barr situation has not played out yet.
Absolutely...
I agree 100%.
I also believe that when people point to the evils and failures of the U.S. government the majority of it can be traced directly to not following those legal steps and the corruption of the system that skips jumping through the hoops.
The United States has done pretty darned well in spite of the corruption within the system. Imagine how well it would work for us all if we elected more honest and principled men? But men are just men and we won’t get a better system by chucking this one for a “new” one.
Socrates was not part of the legislature
Paul is the master of the meaningless gesture.
Ohhhh my...is he another Trey Gowdy?? I fear so.. All hat, no cattle
Too many posters have knee jerk reactions, and lack deep observations. Many fall for the sweet sounding conservative speeches delivered by life long career politicians, but seldom bother to check on how those same politicians vote in congress to satisfy demands only of their mega donors.
This was the main reason I immediately jumped on the Trump train as soon as he came down that elevator in Trump building, because he could afford to follow up on his campaign promises since he did not need mega donors to pull his strings.
I have said elsewhere that if the Mueller report was not what Barr and Rosenstein said it was, MUELLER, COMEY, MC CABE AND OTHERS WOULD BE LOOKING FOR ANY CAMERA OR MIC TO PROCLAIM THAT THEIR SUMMARY WAS WRONG.
Crickets...so, it’s accurate. Even the NO OBSTRUCTION part, because I haven’t heard any objection.
Can you name ONE CAMPAIGN promise on which Rand Paul has back tracked or lied? I have video records of so called conservative politicians with lies.
“I also believe that when people point to the evils and failures of the U.S. government the majority of it can be traced directly to not following those legal steps and the corruption of the system that skips jumping through the hoops.”
Everyone of us has the legal right to get off our butts and petition for our regresses. Get out of the chair, Get signatures, and shove those down the throats of your local representatives. On ALL levels, City, County, State, and Federal.
Push and fund unconstitutional issues all the way to the supreme court of the United States. Make the effort to change it. The tools are there, we just have to pick them up and use them. Instead we sit around hoping someone else will do it and bitch because it ain’t getting done.
I think what is important is that in the long run we have to be careful what precedents are set. What we get away with now can be used against us later in the long run. I am in the game for the long run for my grandchildren. Not short term for my own current interests. We really need to be careful what we ask for. Paul understands this reality.
Gowdy was a representative. He could make recommendations to... Lynch. Do you really think she would have done anything?
Rand is a true believer. He knew it would hurt him with the GOP but thought the action exceeded powers. I don’t agree with him, but I’d take an stand up guy like him over most of those snakes in suits. He has convictions and sticks to them.
Another way to say that is that he is an ideologue, and always votes on principle. In a sense he is not political!
I wouldn’t have voted for Barr either.
On paper, Barr is a disastrous choice. Maybe he’s had a come-to-Jesus moment recently, but there’s no proof of that.
This time.
