Thank you for that. I am now wiser.
That is a thin thread to pin your freedom on.................
As a side note, I found out about that six-month rule when reading about the trial of Sheriff Joe Arpaio (of Maricopa County, Arizona).
Obama’s Feds really wanted Arpaio out of the way, as Arpaio had taken a hard stance against illegal immigration. So what did the Feds do? They charged him with a crime carrying just a six-month sentence.
Arpaio requested a jury trial. Denied! Then Arpaio was convicted by a federal judge. But as you might know, things still ended up OK. Trump pardoned Arpaio.
Very ballsy move.
All the prosecution has to do is load the jury with moms and dads. Then parade several then teens who identify Kraft and said that they were paid to have sex.
The reporting on this has been very poor (what’s new?), but I’ve seen some issues regarding the validity of the warrant (if there was one), admissibility of evidence and entrapment. The prosecution and LEO’s have been very evasive about how they put this case together. They seem to be relying on the publicity and embarrassment to force plea bargains.
I don’t think so. A few days ago on Drudge there were headline that said
that they were going to release surveillance video of him in the act, but didn’t mention video on anyone else.
They are going after him because he’s a friend to Trump.
Let everyone put their cards on the table. I would assume his attorneys know there is some skullduggery involved.
Think of the jury trial as Kraft throwing a "Hail Mary" pass. The only way he wins this game is to be "innocent" by jury. Nothing else frees him from consequences with the nutty NFL.
The whole thing bothered me from day one. If the women really were sex slaves, the priority should've been freeing them from captivity. Instead they put cameras to spy on people getting massages! I always thought massage is kind of creepy (JMHO) but the thought of cameras the time I was coved in mud and it was zapped with electric shock is just too much. It's kind of equivalent to cameras being in the bathroom.
Another factor I just though of. Lots of massage therapists have extensive training, from some foreign countries it's for all purposes a medical practitioner's degree. If these women were licensed and trained, it's really no one's business what went on if there was consent.
Maybe you’re not supposed to give a tip?
Too bad this didn’t happen in Chicago.
I certainly would want my husband to Say no.
Is that a new rule? If offered a blow job you are obligated to take it?
Isn’t there an “expectation of privacy” on his part?
The state of Florida criminal court system needs to create its own TV channel. All of the really good court cases on the old Court TV came from there. I miss Court TV.
Is Kraft cracking? Last Friday he issues a formal apology. Now he wants a trial by jury to prove he’s not guilty of something for which he apologized. Oh, wait, maybe those surveillance tapes will show that his balls were not deflated!!
I think he may be going the ‘Entrapment’ route.
Very big gamble.....................
“If the condom don’t fit, you must acquit”
According to current political and legal theory, yes.
Also, you're implying a situation where it's a surprise, and you got more than you bargained for, making the ending extra-happy. The prosecution's case is that Kraft got exactly what he bargained for, and it was an illegal bargain in the state of Florida.
It’ll never stand up in court........................
e is not nuts, he is delusional. I expect Robert Kraft’s attorney has promised him that a court trial will provide him with another happy ending. ;)
He’s either calling their bluff or he’s rolling the dice for acquittal...................
I think he is just trying to draw it all out past Opening Game 2019. Then he’ll cop a deal.
