Barbara Bush says 'angst' over Trump caused heart problems, new book says.
NBC News ^ | 3/27/19 | Allan Smith

Barbara Bush so fiercely disliked President Donald Trump that she blamed him for what she called a heart attack and, by the end of her life, she no longer considered herself a Republican.

"I'd probably say no today," she told Page in an October 2017 interview on whether she was still a Republican.

Those were excerpts, released Wednesday, of an upcoming biography of Bush by USA Today's Susan Page, who spoke with the former first lady extensively in the final months of her life. Bush died last April and her husband, 41st President George H.W. Bush, died in November.

FACT:

Donald Trump has done more for the “forgotten” men and women of this country in less than 3 years than her husband and son did in a combined 12.

I guess she took her jealousy to the grave.

I have heart problems. No doubt my issues were caused by angst over the Bushes.

If you look at the actual words of all the glowing praise usually heaped on Barbara Bush, a single word that comes closest to describing it is ‘bi!ch’. She really was quite unpleasant in much of her interactions with her family and others. Sure, it was called ‘frank’, or ‘honest’, or ‘candid’, but we all know what it really meant.

I think she was just disappointed that her favorite son Jeb didn’t get the nomination.

Don’t cry for her, Kennebunkport. I think her pearls were too tight — cut off oxygen to her carotid.

Matron of a family of assassins, drug smugglers and human traffickers. Monsters all. No wonder she was freaking out.

Too bad she never realized her family was part of the problems in America. People got tired of rinos saying things to get elected then do nothing about it. Her family is one reason why we have Trump today - we understood we needed to elect a warrior, not another rino.

I never liked her. I don’t like Laura Bush, either.

They seem a prime example of that phenomenon Rush Limbaugh talks about where influential Republican men won't stand-up for Conservatism because they are afraid of their wives.

Bush Fatigue.

They had a good legacy, but they continue to open their mouths and through their various actions, diminish it. The more they reveal themselves, the smaller they become.

I also think they took Jeb’s loss to Trump WAY too personally. It’s politics. If you can’t deal with losing you should quit and go find a day job.

Was she ever a Republican?

*******************************

Of course she was.

The problem is that Republican didn’t mean what we all desperately deluded ourselves into believing it meant.
