A federal appeals court ruled Monday the parents of Kate Steinle, who was shot and killed by an illegal immigrant in 2015, cannot sue San Francisco for the "sancutary city’s" failure to tell immigration officials about the shooter’s release.
Steinle’s parents alleged San Francisco and the city’s former sheriff shared the blamed for their daughter’s death because officials did not notify Immigration and Customs Enforcement when Jose Ines Garcia Zarate got out of jail.

The courts have already ruled that the government has no duty to protect you. But by golly, there should still be a duty to at least report.
For example, suppose a police officer notices a fire. He should be required to report it. And he should be held accountable if - for whatever reason - he just lets it burn.
Sanctuary laws are unConstitutional. A State or City cannot usurp Federal immigration laws. Ryan and McConnell’s biggest failure was not their opposition to the Wall, but their failure to enact severe penalties for any State of Local official who aided and abetted a foreign national in avoiding Federal law enforcement.

That’s because the American Citizen doesn’t put a boot up the liberal judges’ asses, and just rolls over and takes it.
Don’t know if the SCOTUS would hear an appeal but the leftist judicial activist thugs need a reminder that sanctuary cities and states are in violation of FEDERAL LAW.
When this shooting occurred way back when, I Googled info on the family which appeared to be, at that time, super liberal. I expect (I do not know) that they cast votes for the politicians who started the ball rolling toward sanctuary city status.
The best way for laws to be changed is to have children, grandchildren, etc., of liberal politicians harmed by illegals. I’m sorry to believe that, but I don’t see any other way.
Anyone who supports sanctuary cities deserves whatever mayhem he might receive from an illegal alien.
