In the wake of the worst single-day killing spree in New Zealand’s history, the country’s Left-wing government and prime minister went full authoritarian and moved to immediately ban “military-style assault rifles” of the type used by terrorist Brenton Tarrant.
That will surely prevent any future incidents, PM Jacinda Ardern and members of her government have assured the 5 million citizens who live in New Zealand. Surely. Because it wasn’t completely the crazed shooter’s fault, really; it was his choice of weapons.
Other Leftists have taken similar actions after similar incidents in their own countries. Most Western democracies, in fact, now forbid citizens from possessing semi-automatic rifles, especially those horrid military-look alikes (so terrorists have begun using vans and trucks as weapons instead).

Well, “their neighbor,” Australia did it years ago, and their murder rate has increased. The thing that amazes me is that they have “embraced” the Muslims and let the ba$tards into their countries in large numbers.
Gun bans are not about terrorism.
Gun bans are about defanging the populace prior to their enslavement.
Guns bans so the guberment can say: We are here to protect you. You need us.
Precisely
Republicans believe in capital punishment for such tragic events, and as a deterrent.
Democrats believe that the shooter should be given a long life, albeit behind bars, with free room and board, and then disarming everyone else.
