Special Counsel Robert Mueller is not recommending any further indictments as part of his sweeping Russia investigation which effectively ended Friday, according to a senior Justice Department official.
Mueller transmitted to the Justice Department the report on his team’s probe into Russian meddling and potential collusion with Trump campaign associates during the 2016 presidential election. While the probe’s conclusions are not yet known, the investigation already has led to indictments, convictions or guilty pleas for nearly three-dozen people and three companies.
But a senior DOJ official told Fox News Mueller is “not recommending any further indictments.”
Information about the contents of the report could start to emerge in the coming days.
There has been speculation for the entirety of the investigation, lasting nearly two years, on whether President Trump or his family members could face criminal consequences.
Trump’s attorney Rudy Giuliani told Fox News on Friday that the Trump legal team is “confident” in the results of the report.
“This marks the end of the investigation. We await a disclosure of the facts,” Giuliani said. “We are confident that there is no finding of collusion by the President and this underscores what the President has been saying from the beginning - that he did nothing wrong.”

Report: Mueller not recommending any more indictments
Fox News reports that Mueller has not recommended any new indictments. Thus, President Trump will not be indicted based on the Mueller report.What we don’t know is why. Is it because Mueller has concluded that the U.S. president can’t be indicted while in office? Is it because Mueller has concluded that Trump did not do anything wrong, either by way of “colluding” with Russia or interfering with the administration of justice? Or is it because Mueller has concluded, James Comey style, that Trump did collude and/or interfere but that his conduct doesn’t rise to the level of a crime?
The principal author of the report must have been Weismann.
I expect there is a lot of narrative in the report suggesting obstruction of justice by the president using a very broad and novel theory of what obstruction of justice is. Basically that Trump was obstructing justice when he correctly called it a witch hunt. But that the DOJ cannot indict Trump for this because of DOJ policy that a president cannot be indicted.
The next phase will be suggestions that Barr is suppressing Weismann’s work by not releasing the narrative about obstruction of justice.
One thing we can be sure of, Mueller and Weismann did not finish the investigation without writing a report that tries to make President Trump look as bad as possible.
Now they will turn their attention on the other investigations/witch hunts including the SDNY.
However, now his family is in the clear to resume their sacrifices, usually involving cutting out the hearts of LGBTQ minority children and offering the heart to the goddess Hil-ur-ee.

They couldn’t do any of this until after the Muller Report was released without being accused of obstruction of Justice. The gloves can come off now.
