Presidential hopeful Elizabeth Warren on Monday night called for abolishing the Electoral College.
The Massachusetts Democrat said during a town hall on CNN that she would back a plan to scrap the process and move the country to a national popular vote.
My view is that every vote matters, Warren said to applause. And the way we can make that happen is that we can have national voting and that means get rid of the Electoral College and every vote counts.
The electoral process, she said, effectively disenfranchises voters in states dominated by one party.

That means she wants the President to be chosen by two states ... California and New York and forget about the rest of the country.
Because Dhimmicrats want to dictate to the deplorables.
Sure, let a bunch of nonAmericsns in New York and California determine the path for all Americans, hundreds of miles away.
My view is that every vote matters,
Well that’s because you’re a dumb #### who doesn’t understand what a republic is and should be disqualified based on that alone.
My view is that every vote matters, especially the illegal ones.
These commies won’t quit until they destroy the Electoral College and our Representative Republic. Far too many people today (especially younger ones) don’t understand the vital importance of the Electoral College in preventing mob rule—direct democracy—in the United States. It’s sickening.
She smoke too much peace pipe.
Prediction: a year from now it’ll be Elizabeth Warren who?
Whine, cry, stomp your feet. If you still can’t win, claim that the rules aren’t fair.
These people are children.
You would run a campaign based on NY, Florida, west coast states, and just forget completely on states like Iowa, Dakotas, and Wyoming.
You might as well end the primary season, and just run it all in two weeks in June, have the convention in July, and then go full bore in the six states with highest population density. In fact, the more likely candidates to win will be California or Florida governors from this point on out.
You would need to convince at least 40 states that they would no longer get a voice in Federal Government, because the 5 biggest and their popular vote would rule everyone.
Not gonna happen.
Liberal cliché bingo!
And what if it’s close enough for a recount?
Before you can switch to national vote total, Fedgov will need to centralize voting rights. No longer will states be able to chose their own voting procedures - it must all be done the same nationwide otherwise there is disenfranchisement. If felons can vote in this state, they have to vote in every state, etc.
Dems of course believe they can rig the voting and we need to have them stopped before they control everything again. They are saying to themselves “Somehow Trump got elected and we must make sure something like this (a Republican winning) never happens again.”
And the rest of the states want to abolish Massachusetts...
These people understand exactly what a Republic is which is why they are working so hard to destroy this one.
Obama did what he could flooding key Red states with enough refugees to swing their vote totals, if Hillary had won this process would have intensified.
Without the ability to plant millions of fresh new Progressive voters where they like the Left’s only hope is to remove the protections against large-city mob-rule our founders so wisely created.
There are several politician whose anti-American drivel I am heartily sick of hearing. First on the list the Cortez nitwit closely followed by Fauxcahantas, Hillary, Corey Booker (and his imaginary friend), Maxine Waters, Nancy P., upChuck Schemer, etc.
Exactly. You can’t abolish the electoral college without an Amendment, and the structure of getting an Amendment is antithetical to passing without a lot of states and their equally weighted Senators
The Founding Fathers had the right idea and the right solution ... the Marxists/Leftists Democrats hate the Founding Fathers for their wisdom. They are doing everything they can to undo what they did.
