Dossier creator Christopher Steele had a far greater role in trying to sell his anti-Trump charges to Washington’s journalism establishment than previously known, a court filing shows.
It was public knowledge through Mr. Steele’s previous declarations in two libel lawsuits that he had met with the powerhouses of D.C. journalism before the presidential election to brief his Trump-Russia conspiracy allegations.
But with the March 14 unsealing of testimony from an aide of the late Sen. John McCain, it is now known that Mr. Steele also adopted a postelection strategy to damage or perhaps stop the Trump presidency.
Mr. Steele worked in tandem with David Kramer, the McCain aide. Mr. Kramer obtained from Mr. Steele via a middleman copies of the dossier on Nov. 29, 2016. From there, Mr. Kramer testified in a libel case, and he and Mr. Steele worked to saturate reporters with dossier material.
Mr. Steele’s dossier was financed by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the Democratic National Committee. Thus, Mr. Kramer, a Republican, became an unwitting Democratic Party operative.
His deposition came in a defamation lawsuit filed by Russian entrepreneur Aleksej Gubarev. Mr. Steele accused him of hacking Democratic Party computers. Mr. Gubarev, a Cypress-based developer of computer servers, says it never happened. Special counsel Robert Mueller has indicted Russian intelligence operatives in Moscow for the hacking.
The Washington Times has broken down Mr. Steele’s 35-page dossier into eight key collusion charges. None has been proved publicly. No Trump associate has been charged with conspiring with Russia.
Mr. Steele alleged, for example, that Mr. Trump was a Russian informant for eight years. Mr. Mueller recently informed the White House that Mr. Trump isn’t a target of the investigation.

Now that the coup has pretty much UTTERLY failed, and Trump survived all the punches by roping and doping, the other side is ripe to be knocked out by Trump.

Howie Carr went through the whole farce today - Steele got much of his material for the dossier from a CNN website which allowed anyone to post “stories” without fact-checking or editing them (it was later closed down for being too unreliable) - the dossier full of such unverified fluff was fed to the FBI and then used as a basis to get FISA warrants for spying on the Trump campaign and personnel - talk about your illegal search and seizures.....

Fusion GPS founder Glenn Simpson was in contact with a State Department official who had close contacts with dossier author Christopher Steele, according to emails recently obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation.
The September 2016 emails show Simpson was desperate to make contact with Jonathan Winer, a longtime associate of then-Secretary of State John Kerry.
Winer has been confirmed as a source for an article published the following day. That article, written by journalist Michael Isikoff, was the first to publicize Steele’s claims about Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.
One of the co-founders of the opposition research firm that commissioned the Steele dossier was in contact with a State Department official in the days before a news article was published laying out allegations contained in the salacious anti-Trump report.
Emails obtained by The Daily Caller News Foundation show that Glenn Simpson, an executive at Fusion GPS, contacted Jonathan Winer, who then served as State’s special envoy for Libya, on Sept. 19 and Sept. 22, 2016. That was days ahead of the publication of a Yahoo! News article that was the first story to cite information gathered by Christopher Steele, the former British spy who authored the dossier.
Winer, a longtime aide to former Secretary of State John Kerry, was a source for that article, which laid out Steele’s allegations about Carter Page, a former Trump campaign adviser who would become the target of FBI surveillance.
The emails, which were obtained through a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit filed on TheDCNF’s behalf by Judicial Watch, show for the first time that Simpson had direct contact with a State Department official.

If nothing else, I think Trump has ground for a libel suit against Steele and Hillary and the DNC and the collaborating liberal media, and the collusion in the hoax by the Obama administration.
Trump should get ready the lawyers to go after all of them.

Zer0 was also interfering with FBI's investigation of Hillary Clinton's emails on an illegal server (Bill Clinton meeting with Attorney General Loretta Lynch at the Phoenix Airport) and the use of her foundation for pay-for-play activities. He know of the illegal server from the start when the first email he received from her had a different email address than the official Secretary of State one. I suspect he knew about the function of the Clinton Foundation; especially when money donated for the Haiti earthquake generated question like, "Why isn't aid money going to Haitians?"
I predict the focus will turn onto Zer0 himself.
