APPLETON, Wis. Voters who supported Barack Obama in 2012 and then Donald Trump in 2016 are sick of Trump, saying in a focus group here that they're getting tired of his "lies" and the way he treats people.
Why it matters: Trump barely won Wisconsin, where he got roughly 22,000 more votes than Hillary Clinton, and these swing voters were decisive. If he's losing them, it will be harder to win the state again with just his base supporters.
Show less This was the biggest takeaway from the focus group of swing voters I watched last week, conducted by the research firms Engagious and Focus Pointe Global. The group included eight Obama/Trump voters and four Mitt Romney/Hillary Clinton voters.

Fake news
Talking about lies! AXIOS is pure Fake News and LIES i.e. talking points.
I agree except for MN. They’re deep blue.
Jimmy Van thinks he knows Wisconsin because he grew up there.
And 20,000 votes showed up for Crooked Evers (Gov). Walker was ahead a little when I went to bed and I woke up about 1:00 AM and he was behind.
Sounds like a ‘Fake News’ article to me. We will wait to see how Wisconsin votes in November 2020 to see if it is true or not. My guess is not!
Quote: “And 2018 went just great, also.”
And 2010 went so great for Obama, right. Yet, when he was on the ballot he won.
We just do not know enough right now to say who will win. We do not know who the dems are nominating or what events will unfold.
I've always said Axlerod pulled off the campaign miracle of a generation getting Baraq re-elected, given the state of the economy.
I think Ilhan could damage the Democrats brand in MN, it could be a toss up.
Same with Lyin' Ryan. Though he plainly never grew up.
Stephen Hayes at the foot of the master.
Must be something in the cheese.
“The group included eight Obama/Trump voters and four Mitt Romney/Hillary Clinton voters.”
Oh wow, that’s dispositive. 12 dumbshits who couldn’t name one lie and don’t like the way he treats the filth who relentlessly attack him.
Quote: “I’ve always said Axlerod pulled off the campaign miracle of a generation getting Baraq re-elected, given the state of the economy.”
First, it was no miracle at all if you think about it. The economy doesn’t matter when a democrat is in charge. As aggressively as the media goes after a Trump or Bush it goes into protection mode. Economy, what economy. GM was alive and Bin Laden was dead.
Second and to my point, it is about who the opposition is. Romney was the absolute worst guy the GOP could nominate. But the Bush/McCain/Romney wing lives, breathes and exists to be proper losers. Obama’s biggest weakness was Obamacare. Who does the GOP nominate? Why, the one guy who could no possible come close to bringing up Obamacare as an issue because he pioneered it.
I agree with that 100%.
All I said was that the numbers and the math show that it is going to be tough.
That’s indisputable.
It’s going to be tough. Trump might pull it off. But the Dems might also. Again, that is completely non-controversial seems to me.
It’s going to be tough.
(But, fortunately, Trump is the toughest we have ever had, by far.....)
“Who does the GOP nominate? Why, the one guy who could no possible come close to bringing up Obamacare as an issue because he pioneered it.”
True dat
Not when the public sees how many times Biden touches children inappropriately, and the pained expressions on the faces of the little girls.
maybe so.
but most people not offended by that are already voting democrat. and most people offended by that are already voting for Trump, methinks.....
that would be huge.
Let’s see who he could be losing them to before we get panicked.....
